Versions in South Africa and Australia

Believe again, a song they believe in!

Among this year's entries, the one to reach fame in the Southern hemisphere is likely to be Believe again, by Brinck, who competed for Denmark. Cover versions have just been released in Australia and South Africa.

The Australian singer Orianthi has recorded her own version of Believe again, on her album  Believe. Jon Knapman, esctoday member, writes: "Aged 24, Orianthi is of Greek ancestry and has duetted with Carrie Underwood, winner of the American Idol, at the 2009 Grammy Awards ceremony. Being considered as a guitar prodigy, the young lady was offered a place in the prestigious line of guitar players for Michael Jackson’s dates at the O2 Arena in London". Below, you can watch Orianthi 's version:

Jan Götz’s Eurocovers blog, which keeps us informed on every new (or old and newly discovered) version of a Eurovision entry, recently published a link to Heinz Winckler’s video on Ek kan weer in liefde glo the Afrikaans version of Brinck’s entry. “There's another track of Eurovision interest on the new album, Jan writes, Jy gee my butterflies, an Afrikaans version of Butterflies, by Tone Damli Aaberge, the #2 in this year’s Norwegian selection”. Watch Heinz Winckler’s version beneath:

With Believe again, Brinck represented Denmark at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest and placed 13th in the final.

The Australian version is very good, better than Brinck.

Actually The Afrikaans version sounds quite good too
When I grew up in South Africa, we wouldn't dare be caught listening to Afrikaans music, there simply couldn't be something more infirior to that. TBH - south african music was really a load of crap at the time.

Don't even like the song but It's good to see a Eurovision song being covered I think. Both version are better than the original XD.

@ Angelic

I totally agree with u, I want to hear more international singers here in the UK too.

I wish we could hear and see more of other international singers here in the UK.

I have never heard of them are they quite famous elsewhere??

I'm not to sure about this... it just sounds like ronan keating even though one is sung by a female and the other is sung in a foreign language! Nothing unique here...

Same here, not awesome but at least listenable, it's not runnibh rock like the Brink version that was overrated by these ridiculous juries
