"TRT should not choose internally"
Turkey: Kayahan calls for a national final
Kayahan who discussed possible candidates Emre Aydan, Manga and Sebnem Ferah as this year's Turkish representatives in the Eurovision Song Contest stated that, in his opinion, TRT must select the singer via a national final like in the past: "In this way, Turkish Music could win ten Dum Tek Tek, not just one", he says.
Kayahan also pointed out that many singers' careers finished in Turkey after a Eurovision Song Contest failure. Ajda did not return after 1980 contest. "But I made a song, just Turkish pop style, and it is still being listened to despite my 17 th place", the singer says. Kayahan believes that Turkey's worst results were related to the country's bad image abroad due to human rights' issues and politics.
Meanwhile, it seems that TRT are headed yet for an other internal selection as it was announced towards the end of September. Just like in recent years, one singer/band will be selected internally and then asked to submit three songs for the broadcaster to choose from. You can read more about this here.

I hope they will choose a singer from the talent competition 'Yeni Ulduz' again! 
Aysel is known from that competition, and she was really great at the ESC night in 2009!

I agree, "Seninle bir dakika" is a fantastic song and I also like the cover Gece Yolculari made.
For me the ultimate turkish entry is "Dinle" followed by "For real" and "Deli". I also like a lot the entries of 1996, 1999 and 2001.

@ Axel, I agree! But mind you this year Jade probably had the best voice but not the song! Hopefully Turkey will send a great voice and song 
Really I didn't know that. Well she looked ok to me and her voice was absolutely stunning. Don't you think that in the old days the singers were a lot better. Now the show is so much bigger and the performances better but in the 70-80 the singers all had such a good voices.
Seninle bir dakika (Turkiye 1975) is one of the most underrated entries of the whole ESC history. That 16 year old girl with that marvelous voice is singing that beautiful song with a big fever, she was hospitalized right before the contest.
Gunec, I was watching some really old festival and I was surprised about your first ever entry... that was quite good aswell. Also fe the first and only Maroccan entry was just divine...

I think national finals with big stars instead of amateurs is better than an internal selection. Hande Yener, Murat Boz, Eylem or Atiye Deniz for eurovision 2010!!!

hahaha we wont forget about gulseren scandal, during the national final at 2005 none of the singers were known in turkey including her! if they will choose a horrible, unknown scary singer like her again with a shi*y jury nonono we don't want a national final again lol

yeees pinky düriyemin güğümleri would be a fantastic choice, with a good arrangement it would rock the whole world but unfortunately Turkiye is not a country to participate with an existing song, it is forbidden you know...
