Romania confirms 2010 participation
On November 5th, a special debate will be held at TVR's headquarters in order to clarify any misunderstandings concerning Romania’s participation in the Eurovision Song Contest and it will be attended by Romanian composers, lyricists, singers and journalists.
Esctoday.com can exclusively report that Romania’s project manager for the Eurovision Song Contest has changed, and Mrs. Marina Almăşan-Socaciu will replace Dan Manoliu as the head of delegation.
Romania debuted at the 1994 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest and was represented by Dan Bittman whose song Dincolo de nori is still a big hit despite the poor result it achieved (21st out of 25 participating countries). Its best result is the 3rd placing at the 2005 edition when Luminita Anghel & Sistem actually won the semi final by qualifying from the 1st place.

Whatever they will sent, it can't be worse than that horrible tacky "Balkan girls",...brrrrr. So good luck Romania, although you will be in the final anyway.
And this is the 27th broadcaster that's officially confirming participation in ESC 2010.
Wikipedia counts 32, but broadcasters from Armenia, Israel, Netherlands, Serbia and Ukraine haven't confirmed participation, the references are indirect and, in some cases, doubtful.
However, I think that Serbia and Ukraine will participate for sure, the same for Netherlands and Israel, despite some rumours about withdrawal. Armenia, well, it depends on how ARMTV could digest the sentence about the Azerbaijan affair.
Russia will also participate 99% sure, although its broadcaster hasn't said nothing by the moment.
So, at least, we'll have more than 30 countries in Oslo.
When 'Inna' will represent Romania in 2010, then this country will have a big chance to win that contest!
Good news! Romania has had several good songs in ESC and hopefully next year there will be another one! I hope there will be some new names or at least not Blaxy Girls, Mihai, Morandi or Akcent.

The last time i saw them on TV was a couple of years ago (if i'm not mistaken) when they were having some kind of psychic reading done by a famous celebrity psychic-reader

Hurah !! Romania was my guilty pleasure of 2009 I've liked all the Romanian entries since 2005, also their 2002 entry is fantastic ! I hope they send another great entry, which doesn't get lost by their performance, which happened both in 2008 & 2009 unfortunately. Good Luck Romania !!
