Anna Vissi is back at the Athens Arena
Anna Vissi's show Fabulous Show opens today at the Athens Arena in Athens. A lot of preparation and effort has been put into this extravanganza. Anna Vissi promises lots of fun, entertainment and surprises for her fans. The Greek audience will be pampered and mesmerised to Anna's voice and a spectacular musical feast. This sure promises to be a night full of glamour, gloss and grandeur!
Christine Crokos is responsible for directing the musical show, whilst George Kapoutzidis has been resposible for the humorous skits. Jermain Brown is the choreographer of the show. Anna's daughter Sophia Karvelas has taken care of her mother's wardrobe and costumes. Many Greek celebrities and artists are expected to participate in the show: Nikos Karvelas, Yiorgos Sambanis and Matilda Maggira.
Anna Vissi has just released her latest single Fabulous. The Cypriot-born artist is a mega star both at home in Cyprus and in Greece. She debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1980, when she represented Greece with the song Autostop. In 1982, she was back on the Eurovision stage but this time for her homeland Cyprus, where she enchanted Europe with her song Mono i agapi which placed 5th. In 2006, Anna Vissi had the honour of representing Greece at the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest in Athens with the song Everything, which placed 9th.

I never said they can't try to stay young, as they will always try to, as that what sells ofc. But I would personally have more respect for some people, to say no to how society works, and say I will not be foreced into trying to keep myself young and youthful when I'm not. Instead of being weak and having to thrust my body about at over 50... End Of. It's just my opinion, no need to get overally upset about it, as if it was the end of the world.

You are stuck with age factor, an old fashion, get real man artists can keep their image as young as they want to live, to attract audience, win interest, this image is usefull and it is needed, its called business, never say no to business, your view is pointless and silly.

i have to agree with mark's point...
although theres nothing wrong with acting a bit younger (or older) than you actually are, its a bit wierd to be acting so much younger than your actual age
a 50 year old acting as if she was in her early twenties??? i mean come on...if we were all doing that the world would be in a right state
not to mention its really scary....she'll be like madonna next - have you seen her arms???

@Ozi :-), she is 52 in December.
She does not seem to care about her age anymore. On the Rythmos FM interview a few days ago, she joked about her age with no problem joking she was 70 years old. lol. (Anti-fans always make her out to be much older) She said now that she has passed 50, she is comfortable with her age.

She might be able to do it still, Anna Vissi and Madonna can still do their thing, but it's whether they should or shouldn't. For me if an older artist is still dancing around as if they are 20 it comes aross tacky and desperate, but that's just me, but I do know a lot of friends hold the same opinion for Madonna.
However I don't see why you always want to disagree with me, or just choose to comment on my comments which are negative or critical of artists. Suppose that I am so irreistable though, and you know I will reject you, considering I am a "belly-boy", so you are annoyed with me. ROFL !! ( The last sentence was a joke btw , so that means don't take it seriously or to heart )

the song itself sounds catchy... a little bit techno for my likeing but it still sounds nice!
