Should they receive a proposal
Manga would represent Turkey
Turkish rock group Manga returned to Turkey after the ceremony of MTV Europe Music Awards, where they were awarded as the Best European Act. They got the prize from the hands of Backstreet Boys members. They answered the questions of the journalists at the Atatürk Airport in Istanbul and stated that they were excited, proud and happy about the situation.
The band went on saying that they had not got yet an invitation to represent Turkey, but should it happen, they would accept it. Competing at the Eurovision Song Contest is not "an easy thing", claimed the group, because it is a "very big responsibility" and a national matter.
The MTV Europe Music Awards were held in Berlin, Germany, at The Stalag 93 Commemorative Auditorium, in honor of the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. Dima Bilan, who won the Eurovision Song Contest 2008, was also nominated in the EMA Best European Act category.

@GUNEC GULUN
,,Guys who cares about who is Armenian or Jewish, please just talk about their music.''
Dear GUNEC, i give u 5 stars for that nice comment! 5*****
Guys who cares about who is Armenian or Jewish, please just talk about their music.
I think Rober Hatemo is Armenian not Jewish. He has some catchy songs but his 'old news' now. He hasnt had any songs out since 2006! I think Turkey should be represented by someone who is still around. Even Gokhan Tepe would be better than Rober.
@istanbul istanbul
I totally agree with you
it doesn't matter where he is from and yes once again i agree with you about him being Eurovision material
@istanbul istanbul I dont agree with you about Rober Hatemo, I don't think he is suitable for Turkiye's qualified image in ESC. Hayko Cepkin would be a much better choice. But I still think that we should try a nice ballad this year perhaps by Burcu Güneş or Işın Karaca etc.By the way I guess this year TRT is gonna send maNga to Oslo
@angelic
hayko cepkin is armenian living in turkey im also sure about it but as far as i know rober hatemo is originally israeli and his surname doesn't sound armenian to me lol anyway whereever he is from he suits to esc's format he can do well with a nice song
Sertab Erener for Tukey 2010 or Hadise again.
I think they will announce in New Year like they did last year
@Güneş
I agree with u...
By the way,when will TRT announce our representer?Come on,TRT!I wonder it so much although i guess it will be Manga
I can't believe you people mentioning Rober Hatemo's name. He is such a trash. We should send a qualified name like Manga, Burcu Güneş,Emre Aydın Şebnem Ferah etc.
I don't like Haiko's music.. lol. Too much screaming, he won't make it passed the semi-final.
Maybe Eylem.. I like her alot.
@istanbul istanbul
Is he Israeli-jewish?? Someone told me he was Armenian and his name sounds Armenian too. I am glad you agree
i think he is Eurovision material he has catchy songs and he performs well
@angelic
ain't rober hatemo is israeli? as far as i know he is jewish and not turk but didn't know that he is armenian but yes he will be better choice for esc than hayko cepkin i agree
Since TRT didnt find the singer yet normal we cant hear early Turkey ESC song like happen last year, exept if TRT choose singer and song same time.
I'm not a fan of Hayko but i am not against him to represent us.
i hate hayko cepkin
bad performans but manga great
@Angelic Loves Daddy Yankee &Kenan
I think Sebnem Ferah is also good for Turkey But I don't know about Robert Hatemo
@Jan Jan
It has nothing to do with his ethnicity it is about him just shouting all over the place when he is supposedly performing
(but i suppose that is one aspect of rock music).
I think it would be great for anyone to represent Turkey regardless of their ethnic background. One Armenian singer i would like to see represent Turkey is Rober Hatemo
check him out on youtube he is great
Why not Hayko Cepkin? They a great rocker in Turkey but his origin is Armenian. You can see many great Armenian artist and musicolog in the Ottoman and Turkish music history. Rybak is also a Belarusian but he represent to Norway and he bring a great success to Norway and I think Hayko Cepkin can also bring to Turkey a second success in ESC.
@ Istanbul Istanbul, I very much doubt that happening!
i hope they won't represent Turkey. at least next year.
nooo i dont want hayko cepkinn.. he is not for eurovision and he cant get the votes... plzzz noooo
hayko cepkin wants to represent us since 3 years personally i don't like his style , but yes he has fans here especially rockers like him , but if he represents us we will get the armenian votes since he is armenian lol
No More discuss about it... hande Yener would be the clearest candidate. She got talent, style and quality.
Sorry Turkey and maNga's fans. Doda from Poland was better. She should won.
Good luck to Turkey for ESC2010
Hadise I like and I'm waiting for a beautiful new song from Turkey
i hope good singer will be represen us
