Lower budget for Beovizija
Serbia will participate in Eurovision 2010
Ms. Duska Vučinić-Lucic, PR manager at Serbian broadcaster RTS, has cleared doubts regarding the country's participation at Eurovision 2010. The country will hold the traditional national contest Beovizija, although the budget for the Eurovision preparations will be cut down. This saving policy might also have its consequences upon the promotion tour of the Serbian representative for 2010.
Serbia won its first ever Eurovision Song Contest in 2007, with Marija Serifović and the song Molitva. This year, the country was represented by Marko Kon and Milaan singing Cipela, not managing to qualify for the final.

Ana Nikolic won't eneter ESC this year, she said that!!
I liked very much Molitva 2007 and I am happy that it won in Helsinki.
Also Oro was beautiful and genuine song. Cipela.......different kind of song, but funny. Good luck for the coming year, Serbia !
VIVA SERBIA!
The 12 pts from Montenegro!
milan stankovic can be amazing in esc hope for him
Great news !! I love Serbia !! I hope for another great song, It would be great to go back to Belgrade !!! Good Luck SERBIA !!!
Serbia always sent good songs. My fav. is Oro.
Also i adore Romale Romali
Ana Nikolic or Milica Majstorovic for 2010!
Wellcone Serbia, they always sent really good songs,...
wooow ! look at this video http://www.youtube.c(...)/watch?v=I9rFPMxg9FQ it is Natali Thanou , serbian girl that made great career in Greece and in Cyrus , and we would looove that Natali Thanou represents Serbia for Eurovision Song Contest , cause she would be the perfect choice -since she would have 12 points from many countries and she is a great performer !http://www.radiogreece.gr/modules.php?name=News&op=NEArticle&sid=3487 this is one of many links that is written about her !!
@ Simon Clifford
Somewhen in December I guess....but the EBU always waits much too long to publish the provisorial list of participants - which is what the fans are waiting for
@ New in town
Ana Nikolic was very angry after this years Beovizia and said she won't take part anymore, as she believes there's cheating and faul play.
Anyway, I would like to see her, Ivana Jordan or MariMari for Serbia....
Ana Nikolic finally!
She was robbed twice now! She should have won both times she entered, but something "fishy" happened both times.
So third time lucky!
this year serbian representative (acording the voices of people) was sopposed to be OTBand - Blagoslov za kraj, or (acording to OGAE fans) Ana Nikolic - Bili smo najlepsi (MY CHOICE TOO)...and that silly Cipela was soposed to be a good song for party funn, for cafeis where people are litllebit drunk...and it could be super makin-fun-of-song...but for Eurovision definately NO!
Serbia is rich of emotions that's way we often send a ballad!
I am sick of songs like Cipela, Verka Sreducka, Pirates of sea... show had become a comedy not a festival of music...
by by from Serbia!!!
Great news!
Serbia is one of my favourite countries in ESC!
I don't expect very much from my country in Oslo coz nobody(good singers) is not interested in participation!!
I adored the first two Serbian entries, they were both just so powerful and wonder in their own way
This year was a bit of a down-fall, but the quality of their NF wasn't at all high. I really hope they can pick it up again
I would like something other than a Balkan ballad, even if I do adore them, but if it's gonna be pants, I'd rather have the Balkan ballad. Good Luck Serbia !!
@ Sunny Montenegro
That isn't the idea of fair voting...
Still, I do want to see Montenegro enter and make it to the final.
VIVA SERBIA!
The 12 pts from Montenegro!

As long as there is a Beovizija format, many lobbies around it and Duska as someone who is responsible for ESC related matters or even worse - commenting ESC during the broadcast (she, who knows of ESC hardly something: saying "Australia" instead of "Austria", "Vanilla Ninya" instead of "Vanilla Ninja", Ireland has "3" victories instead of 7 etc
), there will be no modern progress in Serbian representative for ESC.
i agree with Lena
Great news !
My favourite Serbian entry is Beauty Queens' "Zavet" from their 2008 NF
ok...waiting for the (good) song!
probably another balkan ballad is on the way!
That's great.Good Luck Serbia!
Great news. I'm excited to see what you will come up with. I hope it's way better than your last entry. I hope for a diamond like "Oro" or perhaps another "Lane Moje"...
You are very welcome!
Serbia will be back with a bang in 2010! Hopefully with the some turbo folk this time...
P.S. What date is the deadline for countries to announce their participation?
Good news!
I hope for a beautiful Balkan ballad, they are always gorgeous.
I also liked Cipela this year, lol.
