Her theatrical career goes on

Beth, a stewardess in Barcelona

Beth, the Spanish representative at the 2003 Eurovision Song Contest held in Riga, Latvia, is currently developing her career as theatre actress playing the role of Janet at Boeing, boeing, a play written by Marc Camoletti and winner of two Tony Awards (Broadway) in 2008.

Beth (Janet) is one of the three stewardesses engaged to Bernard, a successful architect who has to keep his love game in secret. His romantic paradise works perfectly thanks to a favourable flight schedule, but all of a sudden everyhting changes when his friend Robert drops for a visit.

The play, entitled Boeing, boeing, is currently being performed at Teatro Apolo, in Barcelona, from Thursday to Sunday. Written by the French author Marc Camoletti, it has been awarded two Broadway's Tony Awards to the 'best revival' in 2008. The director Paco Mir is responsible for this adaptation.

Beth plays the role of Janet, and the rest of the cast is made up by Àlex Casanovas (Bernard), Santi Ibáñez (Robert), Mercè Comes (Berta), Marta Bayarri (Juliana) and Cristina Solà (Judith).

Beth represented Spain at the 2003 Eurovision Song Contest in Riga, Latvia. The singer achieved one of the best placings for Spain in this decade, ending up 9th with the song Dime.

No no.. i'm just used to deal with angry turks every time i complain even a bit about Hadise.. so that back off was just.. hey, just my opinion, do not feel so upset guys.

@Jorge Correa

Which turks are you exactly refering to here??? i'm confused :S because from where i am sitting it doesn't look like any turk on this article was trying to pick a fight or be rude about Beth or anything of that nature. Are you telling some imaginary turk/s to back off??? and back off what?? do you mean back off from your imagination??? :S

Exactly.. she was 8th, her voice was so damaged at the esc, it's a shame that she couln't show all her potential :S.. but well, not a bad position...
Oh wait.. Hadise sang like a tortured cat and she ended up the 4th, so yeah.. she deserved a better position.
Just trying to be fair turks.. back off

Good Luck Beth ;) :)

Her album My own way home is fantastic btw. It was released in 2006 I think and was a massive flop, but the songs are great. They're not what you'd expect from her either, it was a good mix of acoustic and light rock songs, very nice :)

Actually Beth and Birgitta were both 8th, and so it can be seen in the official eurovision.tv page. The tie-break rule is only used when necessary, to determine the winner or the last qualifier.

She was 8th, not 9th, because the current rule back in 2003 determined the country which got more 12s (10s, 8s, etc) to be better classified.

@Thomas Chan

Actually Spain was 9th in 2003... Iceland and Spain both have 81 pts, but in this case one who got pts from more countries is placed higher.
16 countries voted for Iceland and 14 countries voted for Spain.

If for example this happend between 10th and 11th place (couse u know top 10 from 2003 where directly qualified for final in Istanbul) than this rule would be used (unless country is one of the BIG 4) .

There are no sharing places, ether you are 8th or 9th...
