Vi maler byen rød: The Musical
Vi maler byen rød: The Musical is written by Rasmus Mansachs and presented by Musicalteatret. With more than 20 of the biggest Melodi Grand Prix hits to date (including the title number), the musical promises to be a big, colourful and entertaning show with singing, dancing, bright lights, big hair and a lot of shoulder pads.
The story is set in the 1980's and follows a group of young people as they are about to leave high school. They each have problems with school, their families or their love lives. And some of them even have a very big secret or two. It all comes together in a funny and touching story with a mystery or two to be solved along the way
Tickets will soon be available at www.billetnet.dk. A facebook page has been created. If you become a fan of the Facebook page, you will be notified as soon as ticket sales begin. More information here .

When I first heard that song (only a couple of years ago), I did not appreciate it and thought: how chilldish! Well, now it has become one of my favourites from that decade. It looks like to have the power of infusing a sense of joy and optimism, and it's really able to fade my sadness away each time I hear it. And the lady: what a nice performance! Definitively better than that year's winner and runner up.
So what if the actors aren't professionals? Are all the singers in Eurovision professionals? I think not!
As far as I can read, this musical will be performed on a real theatre stage. That's professional enough for me.
The very idea of this show is great! A wish someone would do the same in English and make an amazing Eurovision musical. How many times do we get a chance to see a Eurovision musical? Well, never before, so who cares if the actors are professional? I can't wait to check it out...
Maybe it will be crap, but it's nostalgic and it's Eurovision. I can't complain...
Sounds awful
This sounds interesting. It wouldt have been even more interesting if it had been a professionel production. Musicalteatret is a amateur theater. Trey to do your reserc next time esctoday.
Why they aren't painting it ONLY red? That would just be boring, wouldn't it...?
Why aren't they painting it red, then? ("Vi maler byen rød"
Nice idea! Hope they'll come to Italy as well!
Genious! Can't wait! :-)
