All countries started the voting with 12 points. Each country awarded 1-8, 10 and 12 points to their favorite songs, while 1-5 appeared on screen automatically and 6-12 were announced by the country's spokesperson.

It really is nonsense to say that 'woman' is offensive, it is used all the time in this country. The term 'lady' is used in common speech too, but you would never hear anything on the news about a 'lady' unless she had the official title as in the sense Lord and Lady. And yes, Jade Ewen is 'a woman'. Have a look at this story on the BBC website as an example, about 'a woman'

As for the word 'crap', some people may find it offensive, but if somebody on here said that Jemini, Scooch or Daz Sampson (sorry Marko!) were crap, I would be inclined to agree. It's not a word that I use myself on here, but many others do and I'm not responsible for what others write. You wrote:

Some people may find that offensive, personally I couldn't care less, but I'm much less nationalistic than many on this site and don't feel that I defend everything that the UK sends to Eurovision.
As for diaspora, I haven't targeted Armenia about this. I have written many times about Russian, Turkish and other diasporas. Any Turkish person who has been using this site for a while could tell you that. From voting patterns, it is clear that Armenia, Russia and Turkey have big voting diasporas and gain many points from them. I didn't 'blame' Armenia as you said, I just stated facts and figures.
O.K. This is the difference is my way. But I will never to call as "Woman" Jade Ewans because I think She is a Young Lady and she is a Artist and she represent a country. And I never call, never and cannot even think to a Artist as "crap", if I don't like even that Artist. I am thurst the Jurry system, I think just the Jurry alone enough. And I also I don't support the televoting system but I wonder why ESC dont prevent this system? this a general problem but I dont blame to a country Armenia, Turkey, Greece or other country about this problem. Because this a wrong way to blame a country, this a bad politic.

What you are saying is correct, people are not voting for songs, they are voting for countries, otherwise their wouldn't be a diaspora effect at all. It cannot be possible that diasporas always think that the song from the mother country is the best one.
On London Greek Radio (which is predominantly a Greek Cypriot station) they even remind and encourage people to vote for Cyprus and Greece; I'm sure that this goes on in other communities and other countries too.
I never realised being called a 'woman' is insulting (if you are an adult human of the female gender) and English is my first language

You think Diaspora is a good idea, i don't think it is. I can see your point of view, but you fail to see mine. You can not convice me that diaspora voting is fair. I CAN understand if someone voted for his or her country when they think their song is the best. But as it is now, they don't do that, no they just voted blind. I remember talking with a greek here in Belgium and he said he hated Kalomiera's song. He said she had a stupid voice and the song was silly. Then i asked who he voted for. His reaction was: 20 times for Greece. I couldn't believe him. He hated the song, then why voting 20 times for it? Because Greece is the greatest country and i was a racist. There you go. The eurovision song contest has nothing to do with songs for the Diaspora cheaters, but all to do with countries. If you think this is a great evolution, fine by me. But don't come complaining when a horrible song wins, just because it's from the right country.

Dont provocation here plase. Why I am Insulted? why? I dont to ınsult here! But many people insult here like @Axel, he call to the Esc Artist "Woman" or "Crap" and he is your good friend. And I see you here always attack to Armenia what is your problem ? You may be trying to insult with this way to Armenia hım? You should tell about Televoting and diaspora because your problem is televoting and Diaspora. But this is not just your problem but this is a general problem in ESC.

You may be trying to insult me by criticising songs from the UK that you are 'forced to listen to', but I don't support bad songs from any country, including my own. Can you say the same? This year the UK made an effort and it paid off. And if the UK songs are too awful to listen to, why not have a break during the contest? It is quite long anyway
As for changing the ESC rules about participation, fine by me. That means that instead of 40% of the cost being shared by all the countries apart from the Big 4 and the host country, it will be 70% by all countries apart from the host or else 100% between everyone. On average the costs for each country apart from the Big 4 will nearly double, or more than double, depending on which option. The contest will then shrink as countries leave, voting revenue from the Big 4 will drop if they are not in the final, as less people watch, just increasing the costs for everyone except the Big 4 who will be financially better off.

Where do you get that idea from. The Netherlands don't complain and threaten at all. TROS broadcaster has a contract to take part in ESC at least until 2012. And AVRO broadcaster is responsible for jESC and that show is actually quite popular in the Netherlands. There hasn't been a complaint or threat at all.
Marko, thanks for your kind comments, I do think very highly of you too. Although I have to say that I thought Kalomira was pretty awful, even though it got points from most countries, including my own.
One of the big problems with televoting, quite apart from any kind of biased voting based on ethnicity/nationality/neighbours, is that most viewers hear the song once (or maybe twice if they watched the semifinals) and it's more about instant appeal and memory. I can see how the lively performance with it's simple lyrics, late in the running order, would stick in people's minds.
With juries they have probably listened to the songs already and start to pick out songs for other reasons apart from instant appeal. I'm not saying that juries are perfect, if this year is anything to go by, some clearly have a bias towards neighbours as much as the televoters, but overall the bias was less.
I used to love the televoting idea, but I have lost all faith in it as a fair way of ranking the songs by quality. I don't plan to ever vote again, unless it can somehow be made more credible and I don't see how that can happen.

Secondly, i can explain. Many people in Serbia liked those songs. Never said they didn't.
But now explain to me why we belgians have to give points to songs we don't like.
I think we should stop our controversy about the diaspora voting now! Nobody can change the other persons minds! If not, this controversy will end till 1000 comments!

In Belgium, when two mature people having an argument, and one is saying something falsely (maybe by mistake) they don't call other people for help and suport, they are grown up and say it for themselves.
