Wildcards awarded possibly
Poland: Four songs chosen to proceed to the final
TVP will once more hold a national final to select the next Polish hope in the Eurovision Song Contest. In a response to an open call for songs, about 130 were submitted and a special jury shortlisted just four of them to proceed to the final. TVP extends one more invitation to Polish artists to submit more songs and maybe, if the broadcaster is satisfied with the quality of the songs, there might be some wildcards awarded (four or five). The Polish final will be held on 14th February and the final list will be known just one day before.
OGAE Poland, the local branch of OGAE International, may support officially the candidacy of Marcin Mroziski.
The four songs are:
- Anna Cyzon- Love me (J. Gleed, A. Cyzon)
- Aneta Figiel - MyÅ?l o Tobie (A. Figiel)
- Dziewczyny (Anna Karamon and Ola Nowak) Cash Box (T Organek, A. Karamon)
- PIN - Lady Pin (A. Lampert, A. Wozniak)
- Listen to the songs here .
Anna Cyzon took part in the Canadian version of Idol, Aneta Figiel in the Polish version as well as the TV show Jaka to melodia. PIN are by far the most popular of the four acts having released two albums already.
The following are not the actual songs which will compete in the Polish final
Anna Cyzon
Anetka Figiel

Very special thanks to Szymon Stellmaszyk

oh my poor Zanic... your comment is so sad and pathetic I didn't even want to say anything about it but then I read info in your profile... boy... stop critisising other countries so easily, who do you think you are? you accuse some countries of block voting saying that for exemple there is a Portuguese diaspora in Romania and Moldova... what? no comment... then you deffend Russia saying that there is no way of diaspora voting... well guess what? 25% of population of Estonia are Russians, in Latvia 29%, i Lithuania 10%, 17% in Ukraine... shall I continue? the point is that you should learn some more before you dare judging others... some respect!!! btw Norway and Austria have been sending some of the worst songs in the history of the contest... take that...
@ Layla
But that really is the first wildcard from poland, I don't like it too, but it is!!
@ Zanic Night
You are really so strict in critisizing other ESC countries, you don't look at your country in ESC which is really nothing special and alot of ppl don't like many entries from Norway!!!
As you mentioned 2007 and bad entries from Poland and UK that year I must tell you that I liked more UK and Poland in 2007 than Norway - Guri Schanke!!!
that wqas actually horrible!!!!
@Marko
That song was pretty bad. Hopefully there will be better wildcards coming. PIN is still best...
Oh my Poor Poland
All I can wish you is best of luck.. but Polish people may not want to read anything below :>
look away if you please-
2008 I thought was a good year with Isis Gee and she finsihed dead last only gaining points from countries with high Polish disaporra
(probably scored so low as the ballad was forgetable, bad draw order, and far too much fake tan)
2009 I thought was awful, that woman should have sung in Polish, her pronounciation of english was awful how the heck could anyone understand her?
2010 So far not one song has stood out so far as a winning song, even a qualifiying song lol.. Maybe PIN but I dunno its not my cup of tea..
(but nothing could be as bad as the Jet set.. they were the next worst thing to ~Scooch in 2007, at least I laughed at Scooch, but when the Jet Set came on in the Semi's.. I had to cringe)
@ Paschalis
YEAH, that is the first wildcard from Poland!!!

Several days later it will be anounce next wildcard!!!
@ Mina
Till now we agree in everything as regards ESC 2010!
@ Marko
Is it sure this song will be a wildcard? It's ok, not my cup of tea exactly, I still prefer PIN.
Breaking news!!!!!!!! This is the first wildcird for Poland - VIR (rock song):

Lady Pin and Cash Box are the songs I like the most out of these 4 but I think all 4 of them are good. I was pleasantly surprised.
I don't see what's so good about PIN tbh. It's boring.
I still want 'Legenda' to go through (Although it hasn't been chosen there's a glimmer of hope that it might get through somehow). But damn TVP chose crap over it! Is there a possilibility to change broadcaster next time?

Pin - http://www.youtube.c(...)/watch?v=wNqTp5Ta_-w 7/12
I hope people realize that none of these songs have any chance in ESC?
@andy tortora
No
I didn't think it was him singing that, lol. I thought it was two other people singing opera in the song. Well, I still find it weird, like it doesn't fit the rest of the song, but overall it's still a good song.
And I didn't mean she was R&B, but I have this experience that Poles seem to like that in general and she is going for that urban pop sound. Urban/R&B, I sort of consider that almost the same.
Hm... so...
PIN - Nice song... but not the best 7/10
ANNA CYZON - really great
9/10
DZIEWCZYNY - lol is so bad! 0/10
ANETA FIGIEL - 5/10 it's medium
"Pinlady" sounds really beautiful. It's one of the best songs I've ever heard in a polish preselection. I hope the best, good luck!
by giving Wildcards of course
I'd like to add, that these song aren't all song that would participate in Polish Final, TVP will choose other songs soon.
Dear Layla, I have to say I don't agree with you about the opera part not fitting in in PINs song... I think it's pretty amazing that the singer is able to sing the pop part of the song with emotion and then change his voice, join in with the female opera singer and make it sound like a completely different person. you realise it's the same guy that sings the whole song ?(except the female opera voice of course)... I really like the song myself and in my opinion there are only two options for Poland = Pin and Anna Cyzon ( since when Anna's song is R&B anyway?) I respect your opinion though,it would be boring and aimless to be here if we all liked the same... greetings
Sorry to repeat this, but it fits better in the article about Poland, obviously.
My rating of these four Polish songs so far;
1. PIN: The song is actually NICE and has a more contemporary sound to it and the English is acceptable too. Now the ONLY problem is that that opera singerdon't fit in!!!!! He sort of makes it sound silly/unserious.
2. Aneta Figiel: This is also not a bad song and I liked it better than PIN at first listen, but PIN grows more. This song gets a big plus for being in Polish and mid-tempo.
3. Anna Cyzon: This sucks, she'strying too hard to achieve that typical modern "urban" pop sound (which sucks). Her English is good, but the song is too repetitive.
4. Dziewczyny: Everything about this song is terrible.
So dear Polish people, do not fall for Anna Cyzon because you love R&B or something - PIN is the way to go, lol.
