Best song of the Year 2009
Ani Lorak wins an award in Russia
Yesterday, at the anual ceremony Zolotoi Grammofon in Moscow, Ani Lorak, the Ukrainian participant at the Eurovision Song Contest 2008, won an award for the best song of the year 2009. The track, titled Solnce (Sun), as well as the rest of the album was composed by the Greek composer Dimitris Kontopoulos, who is well known to the Eurovision public by other entries with Koldun from Belarus in 2007 and Sakis Rouvas from Greece in 2009. The ballad Solnce is also available in English under the title I'm alive.
Recently, Dimitris Kontopoulos has released a new single with Sakis Rouvas titled Spase to hrono. In December 2009, a movie titled Duress (Hollywood) will hit Greek theatres, starring Sakis Rouvas with music by Dimitris Kontopoulos.

Ani Lorak sooo should have won in 2008. I thought it was a really good entry. And a tiny bit more classy than Sveta.

I'm really glad to see lovely Karolina winning an award. Not only is she stunnigly beautiful she is an amazing singer.. yeh i wasnt to keen on the shady lady show, but in ukrainian and russian she is awesome.. ya stanu morem still gives me goosebumps! bravo ani!

"I'm alive" could do well in ESC.
i hated kontopulos's "this is our night" while i love "shady lady"... but sakis's last single is nice..
"I'm alive" is a fantastic song imo. I was surprised when I heard it at JESC 2009, because i've never wanted to listen to any of Ani's music as I wasn't a fan of "Shady Lady" at all, however as I said I was surprised (in a good way 
).
