Jeroen and Gerard, nominees for the Sterren.nl Awards
Dutch public broadcaster TROS is the organiser for this event, which started back in 2007 with the aim of promoting the Dutch music and culture.
This year, two former Dutch representatives at the Eurovision Song Contest, Gerard Joling (1988) and Jeroen van der Boom (De Toppers, 2009) are in the line-up of the nominnes in two categories: "Best Dutch Artist", for which both of them are nominated, and "Best Dutch Song". Jeroen's Alles min één will fight with other 9 candidates to win this trophy.

One vote can be cast every 24 hours. The winners will be announced on December 12th in a ceremony to be held at the Gelredome in Arnhem.
Gerard Joling represented The Netherlands in 1988 in Dublin (Ireland) with the song Shangri-la, placing 9th. Jeroen van der Boom, Gerard's successor as part of De Toppers, represented the country this year in Moscow, not managing to reach the final with the song Shine.

De Toppers are not a real group. They consist of three solo artists, who once a year do a series of concerts in the Amsterdam Arena.
Has Jeroen left the Toppers? Or have they split up?

I agree Purple Cow. It is so sad that TROS is responsible for eurovision at the moment. Every other broadcaster (even EO) would have done a better job then TROS.
Anything TROS is just not cool at all.. especially the Sterren.nl awards..
