Dance band Highlights joins Melodifestivalen in Sweden

The Swedish broadcaster SVT has announced the performers that will join the songwriters Mia Terngård and Stefan Lebert or MiSt to perform the winner of the web wild-card vote, Come and get me now. It will be the dance band Highlights, and their participation was announced during the SVT reality show, Dansbandskampen (The battle of the dance bands) where the band is currently competing.

Melodifestivalen's producer Christer Björkman appeared on the show with the songwriters Mia Terngård and Stefan Lebert and together they asked one of the participating bands to join in and help to perform the song. Highlight took the challenge and will be joining MiSt on stage in the second Melodifestivalen heat in February 2010.

Highlights members are: Erik Anjou, Tommy Gustafsson, Christian Lindholm, Johan Petersson and Andreas Wistrand. They are taking part in Melodifestivalen for the first time.

I don't know much about Highlights except that Andreas Wistrand took part in "Fame Factory" in 2003-04.
