"Information published by mistake"
IBA postpones official announcement to Monday
A few days ago, rumours claiming that Harel Skaat would be the Israeli representative at Eurovision 2010 arose, and yesterday, the information appeared on the official IBA website (English version), thus appearing to be official.
Now, the broadcaster has postponed the official announcement of their Oslo representative to Monday, when a professional committee will meet to finalise the decision.

we got alot of other great singers as good as harel skaat an dhe will represent Israel in eurovision 2010 !
and i think Israel is Did her job in ESC with winning this event 3 times and we are now one of the best countries so ya =P any singer we send with good song.. we qualify and get top10 so im not worried at all =]
@Azad...it doesn't hurt us..we love Harel Skaat so much, no matter if he'll go or not... :-) who cares? ..we have another good artists..but sure, HAREL SKAAT IS THE KING!

Funny, yesterday I commented on the article claiming Sqa'at was our singer, saying :
"What is the source that confirmed this news ???? This article does not mention who confirmed this. There has been no official announcment that Sqa'at was chosen. The contract had not been signed, or agreed upon ! Ofcoarse everybody knows that it will be Sqa'at, (this will probably be done on Monday when the lawyers or managers or whatever meet again)"
and then apperently I faced with the fact that I made a fool of myself when directed to the english article that did confirm it. So, now it looks like I was right afterall.
But just like in 2002 when everybody knew there was no other way (before announcing Hadad to ESC-02), one thing is certain Harel Sqa'at will represent Israel in ESC-2010
ROFL !! This is already like a soap opera and already on my nerves 
I just hope that now Israeli fans don't go all ISRAEL WILL WIN kinda thing, like we know other fans from certain countries do. I really want Israel to do well as it's one of my favourite countries in ESC, and it takes just more than a good singer to win ESC, and a lot of years through this decade it shows you don't have to be able to sing at all I hope he doesn't get too hyped to be a let down For me at least it'll be hard to follow on from Noa & Mira !

I really hope this guy is the representative...He has such a great voice, and with a great song, i think he could give Israel another chance of victory. Lets hope

worry not! IBA has to wait for Monday because an Israeli MP (from Russian origin) asked that there will be a discussion about Israel's choice to Eurovision 2010 in the Knesset (Israeli Parliament). That's the only reason for the delay.
This MP wants Vladi Bleiberg (an Israeli pop idol participant, again from Russian background) to represent Israel. So obviously this man has an agenda. but fear not: IBA are the sole responsible and they hate the idea of someone with influence in politics to decide this matter.
By the way: this Vladi Bleiberg guy is so awful you will not believe. I mean: really terrible!!

@Adalberto Iglesias: Sorry but all his songs isn't great but some! So I wait to hear the song before I say he's top 5 or WINNER! Sorry but I prefer many of the 2010 MF artists than Harel Skaat, especially before hearing the songs. So go away MF hater! So rigth now: Harel Skaat= pure hype!

I have to agree though. Eventhough i'm Swedish myself I find most of the stuff in Melodifestivalen tacky with low quality.
But it is still better than most national selections though if you'd compare them all.

they are going to announce the return of Ping Pong who was awesome in 2000 with "Sameyach"
