OGAE survey and 3 men at the top
French fans want Mika for France!
Such survey would have been totally useless, if not crazy, only two years ago, when the French were sure to have “another unknown name” as representative. Patricia Kaas’s involvement makes it possible to imagine other big names and a “big strategy” from France 3, as Bruno Berberes, French HoD, clearly told esctoday.com in an interview that another famous name would be sent to Eurovision for 2010. 60 members took part in the survey and the result was sent a few hours ago to all French fans.
Coming as a big surprise, a non-French artist places on first position: Mika (with a grandtotal of 76 points). Mika was born in Lebanon to a Lebanese mother and an American father. As a child, he spent nearly 10 years in France, hence his perfect use of French language. Back to the French survey, the artist coming second (with 64 points) is Emmanuel Moire, a singer who played the role of Louis XIV in the acclaimed musical Le Roi Soleil (The Sun King) in 2005 and 2006. Since then, the man released two solo albums, which sold quite well. On third position (with 59 points) comes Christophe Willem, who won the 2006 Nouvelle Star (French Pop Idol) and published two CD albums since then. The first one sold extremely well, due to prestigious collaborations. The song Double Je received the 2008 Victoire de la Musique de la meilleure chanson (French Grammy). Then come:

Mika would be great for ANY Country!

His live vocals on certian shows and even the people that sometimes sing in his tracks live would give you a headache. He is not a good choice for me

The Netherlands can claim Kate Ryan(Hadise kind of story I believe) as well.. and I believe that's more logical than France 'claiming' Mika

It'd be nice to see other names like Shefyra Luna, Olivia Ruiz, Sofia Essaidi, Gregory Lemarchal, Antoine Claraman, BB Brunes, Anggun...Come on France you have so many hot names that could bring you victory!!! Dont make another outdated choice..

lol i cannot believe they don't want david guetta. his songs are on heavy rotation! Mika? Since his latest album flopped, i can see him doing it for France. He's a genius and he can make a good catchy eurovision song! i'd laughing out loud if UK gives 12 to France LOL

wow I changed my mind. Now I can't stop listening to Christophe Willem. He will be a great choice.
I'm not a huge fan of Hélène Ségara's, but I'd love to see Anggun, Chiméne Badi or Christophe Willem representing France. My biggest dream though would be Nadiya. She's been my favourite French singer for years. Mika sounds like a particularly bad idea; he would have been great in 2007 when he was popular, but after 2009's tremendous flop The Boy Who Knew Too Much it seems the world has already had enough of him. But best of luck to France - my second all-time favourite Eurovision nation (and my number one favourite Eurovision nation still participating).
France, give us David Guetta!
I know about Christophe Willem already actually and I've known the song Double Je for a while. He does actually sing like a little girl but the song is really catchy. I think he'd be a good representative for France if Bruno wants to send something uptempo but high quality and popular with the French people too.
Mika and Christophe Willem are both great and would bring such great lives along with nice poppish songs..
I would really like to hear some french artist with good english song
