FYR Macedonia: The 28 national finalists are announced
The 28 songs were selected by a jury comprising of:
- Gordana Andrashevska, Project co-ordinator
- Ljupco Mirkovski, Artistic Director
- Mary Popova, MTV representative
- Radica Mitic, Macedonian Radio representative, Radio 2
- Ariton Krliu, Editor in Macedonian Radio presenter, Radio 2
- Zoran Mirchevski, Executive editor of the Macedonian Radio, Radio 2
- Alexandra Jovanovska, Journalist presenter at the MTV Times

FYR Macedonian Eurovision Song Contest 2005 representative Martin Vucic notably features in the line-up twice.
The national selection process Skopje 2010 will be held in the second half of February featuring a total of three shows, two semifinals and a final, where these 28 songs will fight it out for the honour to represent the Balkan country. 14 songs will be performed in each semifinal, and a total of 8 will make it to the final. The winning entry will be decided by a mix of televote and 6-member jury vote at a 50/50 split.
Televoting changes introduced to the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest will be implemented to the FYR Macedonian selection as well, opening the voting window in the beginning of the shows and closing 15 minutes after the last performance.
Performers of the songs will be published subsequently by MKRTV.

@Stefan : i agree dosta is irritating, and most of her songs are repepetive lol, just saying she is still talented. I like nesto sto ke ostane in its own right but not for esc.. and yeh vlatko loz would be good, but defo not with sonce ne me gree haha!

'Esen vo Mene" is an amazing song but in my opinion all her others are boring and repetitive. Her new song "Dosta" is simply horrible and I'm glad that it hasn't been a very big hit. On the other hand, Next Time are awesome. Their song was not for Eurovision but it was really good in my opinion. They've been #1 for some time with their new song "Koga lazes kade gledas". This year I hope that someone like Vlatko Lozanoski wins, but with a good song like "Sonce ne me gree".
I would also like Adrian Gaxha or Tuna Sejdu to represent Macedonia coz they have fantastic songs!!! I would like Kristina and Violeta Raleva to follow them in ESC!! 
@layla: kinda funny to comment when you havent seen her sing live... i was about 3 m away from her when she belted out esen vo mene and id say she is very good live and talented. then what would i know?? regardless if you dont like her style of music its kinda fresh commenting on if she has talent or not...
next time are very talented and great vocally live, but the song was kinda not enough and i easily wouldve prefered to see kaliopi or vlatko loz. have u by any chance heard "bez tebe tivko umiram" by next time?? i think that wouldve been better than "nesto sto ke ostane".

Even if you don't like the song, at least Next Time sing GREAT live and gave a very good performance. I like all their songs. As for Elena, nothing special at all and hardly talented. Just another face who sing other people's songs and suck at it. And oh, her intro to ninanajna was SO ripped off Beyoncé - naughty girl.

he and his lovely tata bought that win that aleksandra pileva shouldve ha with sonce i mesecina!!!! I was honestly mortified by make my day, it actually made me regret that my dad was born in macedonia... and i think it shouldve finished last. it was just rubbish.........!
Macedonia has some cool singers, but i agree the songs have been just average or in the case of martin and next time just bland or rubbish. Karolina and Elena are both awesome singers live, but neither mojot svet or ninanajna had any impact, and i agree their stage wasnt fabtastic in the least.
For me the only song ive really liked was od nas zavisi, which for me will remainthe song that made me love esc! I hope for lambe, that would make me cream. but he needs a song like si odam, nauci da se raduvas, sakam da te ah or vrati mi go srceto, not these bland ballads he tried the last two times!
I wouldnt mind seeing elenche try again, though this is coming from someone who met her in sydney and could barely talk hahaha! i think they should just send slatkaristika, at least it will be funny shop shopping

Ugh. I thought Next Time were utter Rubbish for 2009 Macedonia were no.40 in my top 42..

The only way that Samardziev is going to win is if he pays the jury to vote for him which might happen (he won Makfest 5 times). I'm getting suspicious.

Koprov song goes to Nade Talevska, Corbadzija sounds much like some of Slang, One of the Masevski's songs would go to Sanja Lefkova, Vlatko Lozanoski would go with a song from Cvetkoski, Kristijan Jovanov will sing the Vanco Dimitrov song, we'll also see PArketi and Yova Radevska... I only wonder who is the author of the winning song, the one that Risto Samardziev will sing... and the runner up song, the one that Vlatko Ilievski will sing

I enjoy Macedonian entries. Martin Vucic's entry is my personal favourite so far, Gosh I remember having a crush on him
I do think Macedonia should take it up a notch and send something more daring. They have been playing it safe for the past couple of years.
The problem with Macedonia is they always send an average song, Not bad enough to be labeled awful. But not good enough to make the top 10.
So the country either stays in the Semi-final or makes the final only to score between 11th - 25th ..
I'm hoping for a song like 2006, at least in that year Macedonia realy tried, the song was still average, but made the 10th spot in my top 10 for the year and its the first and only time Macedonia made a shock entry
Try again, send some RnB pop with a sexy singer and I bet Macedonia will actualy make the top 10. Not only in my top but also on the Eurovision scoreboard

All their songs on Eurovision were nice and there wasn't any for which I could say: "It was bad. I hated it".
Main problem (at least for me) is that they just can't make stage performance which will "suit" song very well. Stage performances are ok, but I feel like they could have always done much better.
My favourite entries from Macedonia were those which were from Karolina (2002 and 2007), although 2004 and 2006 were almost as great as Karolina's.

I'm not a huge fan of songs from FYR Macedonia, Karolina was OK but the rest were quite bad IMO.

I hope FYR Macedonia choose a really good song. I have liked their previous attempts but think they could have been better. Good luck FYR, and lets hope with a great song you will make the final's....

Yes Koprov was the composer for the 1998 entry.
The song composed by Vrcak is probably for Elena Risteska- Angeli (I actually hope that she doesn't win)
One of the songs composed by Lazar Cvetkovski will probably be sung by Vlatko Lozanoski
Also Parketi is singing this year
Also I know that one of the guys from Sleng (the ones that sang Gangsta Oro) is going to sing. I'm guessing that that will be Gipsy Dance but I don't know.
I think Vlatko Lozanoski or Elena are going to win this year regardless of the fact if they have a good song or a bad song.
I loved Macedonia in 2009 and their entry! Next Time boys were great and deserved to be in the final! Great performance and everything.
Some of these titles seem interesting, especially Gypsy dance.
