Moldova: Dyma wants to manipulate Europe
Dima Georgita aka Dyma is young, talented and ambitious. He graduated at the Music school Eugen Doga and is currently studying at the Chisinau Music academy. He has also gained experience as a professional dancer. Dyma has released 3 songs in Moldova, all of which have reached the 1st place in the Moldova ncharts and radios. He has also participated in the Moldovan version of the reality show Fame Academy where he reached the final. Though he didn't savour victory he gained a big fan following.
Dyma's dream and ambition is to represent his homeland Moldova at the Eurovision Song Contest. He will be bidding for the Moldovan Eurovision national final with the song Manipulate, a pop rock song talking about the freedom and the power to make things better with love, setting oneself free from manipulations. The song has been composed by none other than Alex Brasoveanu (Eurovision 2007- Natalia Barbu-Fight). The lyricst of Dyma's entry is Aris Kalimeris the same man who was behind the the lyrics of the 2009 Moldovan entry Hora din Moldova by Nelly Ciobanu.

Nice! I like the style, even though the song itself is pleasant but nothing more. He's got charme, he could do well.
Merry Orthodox Christmas to Moldova!
Its a nice "package" for eurovision....!!!
Nice song
Clever lyrics
Beautiful singer
It has it all!
Bravo Moldova!
well...nothing that can take my breath away this year from Moldova...I hope new songs will be added soon. This song isn't bad tough.
@ TK
LOL! "Crack on" absolutely sounds like "crap on". XD
His accent isn't bad, but the lyrics are terrible! Really embarrassing. I love the song though, I think it's top ten material with the right performance. And he is a cutey!! He gets my vote.
@ Keith
hahhaha
Believe me that is very important!! You can't understand importance of it!!!
OK that's your opinion, but you still didn't answer me, why this isn't on the official list of participants
My qualified opinion (for once). With respect to your other question, I'm afraid I don't give a rat's ass.
At last, a pop-rock song
I am sick of all the disco-pop sounds in esc
Rock the party!!!
@ TK
I really can't describe that!!
LOL
@marko: valentina hasan style?
@ TK
You have to listen Turcu pavel's song from Moldovan NF
and Mariana Mihaila's song!! Her accent is
!!!
I agree with keith, his accent isnt terrible... what i cant get over is "i want to go feel my ego" oh wow we dont need to know about that
"i want no lie' no lie? do u mean no lies?
and the when u crack on bit will allways sound like when u crap on
@ Keith
OK that's your opinion, but you still didn't answer me, why this isn't on the official list of participants ( Moldopvan TV)
It sounds soo Easren European!!
Not really. His Ls are a bit over-laminal, which is typical for Eastern European accents, but apart from that his accent is pretty straightforward American. He's flapping all over the show, which is awfully un-British but perfectly American. The song is deeply rooted in the American tradition too (which confusingly enough has become very popular in Eastern Europe), so I guess it's easy to lose focus on phonetics. But judging from his pronunciation alone there is little cause for any objections. I hardly think the workings of the Moldovan television industry have influenced Dyma's accent to any degree worth mentioning.
I have to agree with Keith
He has a clear American accent
He has American roots , thats why!
@ Keith
It sounds soo Easren European!!
And why this song is not on the official list of Moldovan TV where all other participants are!!!
Tell me that!?
Keith I'm from Eastern Europe and I know very well how it works here, who pay for victory, he/she it has it!!
I can't stand that any more!!
To those of you who criticise his accent: What specifically are you objecting to? As someone with a background in phonetics and phonology I can't hear any major flaws in his pronunciation except a few times on the definite article towards the end of the song. Do you mean his accent is awful because it sounds American? If so I could understand it, but if your claim is that his accent is somehow too Moldovan (whatever that is) or incomprehensible I'd have to disagree. His English is fine.
The lyrics however are as random as they come.
And why you ppl actualy care that much how singer looks like, I mean that's important, but not the most important!!
This singer looks OK, but his song is so average and accent is bad that I can't listen to it!

And why is he sepparted from other singers in Moldovan NF!! That's so stupid and bad!!
Verdict
If you like someone who looks good, sings good and has a good look, you're a fag!
Bloody idiots, get a life!! -.-
I like his song
@ Stine
hahahaha, I've just conected MF and the first group of MGP in Norwegian article!!
@Marko

Not long til MF and I need to do some schlager bashing
I really like Moldova in ESC tho, I think they're pretty awesome lol
@aris: oh sorry my apologies, but do you not think that not allowing us to respomd to such blatant discrimination ad villification is indirectly suporting homophobia, racism or any other form of discrimination?
think about it
