Agreement finalised
MaNga to represent Turkey in Oslo
After this agreement, MaNga become the Turkish representatives in Oslo 2010 and thus the 7th male act to perform in the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest.
The band won the MTV Europe Award to the best European act last year, and since then they have been expressing their wish to represent Turkey in Eurovision.
MaNga have been crowned after Sebnem Ferah and Emre Aydin, the other two candidates in the race to represent the country in Oslo, dismissed this possibility owing to their respective schedules and plans.

True. For example, I think TRT could try turkish rap this year by sending Sultana (allthough most Turks hate her, I tried to find her album in every cd store in Istanbul but couldn't find it). Her beats are allways superb (you can hear the turkish instruments) and her lyrics allways make me smile hahahah.

I also laughed at what she said a long time ago at Mavi Seker; she rapped 'biktim bu rus orospulardan' live on tv, i was laughing my ass out, she is the best =)

yes dear we r a 75 millioned country and have millions of singers who can fit to esc format very well this is why maybe people really disliked trt's choice . they have many many alternatives unlike some less populated countries plus trt is the worst channel but it is really rich so they could put more effort in it. they know very well they got the attention only last year due to dum tek tek

lolololol burcu gunes is ok for esc i think but hande yener hmmmm she could show her body and sing with a weird accent i know u like her new style but she also can't do well with electro pop she can be just turkish svetlana in esc lol but with her old songs i believe in she can be in top 5

asiye mucks mucks hon now i remember u, i also like every kind of music if it sounds nice to me, even i was really liking bir kadin cizeceksin but it is the only song by manga which was really popular and loved by many people. for real was a great song and it wasn't pop , deli was taking many compliments and they didn't get the places of kenan,sertab,athena,hadise so believing in a rock band without any shows or smth really interesting will win this contest is such a dream for me but anyway lets wait till the song maybe they will all surprise us but i really don't think so lolol

Personally, I prefer maNga to Hadise so I'm really happy with this news...
Think about it, the reason why Sertab won in 2003 is because she did something different and unique! That is the key to winning this contest... just like how Norway won this year. Just because Turkey won with an ethno-pop song doesnt mean they should keep sending this genre to try and win.
maNga can do really well... as long as they stick to what they are good at and not change their songs just to try and appeal to a new market.
The lyrics of their songs are so childish... I hate them.. Coz they're so cheap for my musical taste. Hande Yener or Burcu Güneş would be awesome... Manga got this award with the votes which sent by our insane fans... It doesn't work same at Eurovision, we all know this. That shitly foundation TRT will realize it on the final day...

I don't insult pop songs because i listen them too, also like Düm Tek Tek. I always say that i can listen every kind of music and don't understand people who are obsessed with only one genre or against one extremely. By the way, i am Asiye, maybe you remember me
Rock songs don't appeal to everyone as different from pop songs but a different and good song will appeal to everyone, the genre doesn't matter. Lordi won this contest with a hard rock song. I think Manga also can win with their own style.

rofl , yes they even voted for shi*y gulseren lol and manga is a super star when comparing to her and her horrible song lmao but manga's song won't become popular in turkey or in any other countries this is what i believe in so even they win it which is almost impossible, this won't make any sense to me anyway this is just a contest nothing else and i hope next year we will send a really popular singer who fits esc so much

I was visiting family friends today and when we were eating we saw that maNga would represent Turkey for eurovision on Star tv news and everybody looked like if they were disgusted from the food, but it was because of maNga, lol. Nobody liked it, but I am sure some of them will still vote for Turkey, like my mother's girlfriend who voted 27 times last year! I think it will drop to 7 now hahah.

sorry but i have to be objective i know there r many haters here who loves just insulting but also i hate it when people support nations and not music (it is a music contest not the best country one) so i can't be one of them here i care music not where from manga is and i think many turks here would say manga sucks if it was a band from usa maybe. please don't tell me they won the mtv awards probably turks were a factor there too( though i don't think turks in turkey voted for them at mtv nite) cause they r unknown in europe even i can't say they r well known and have many fans in turkey sadly

from turkecan u tell me deli was a popular song in turkey or europe? i am turkish and i bet %70 of turks have no idea about this song, but dum tek became popular even in japan cause whatever others say it was a a very nice catchy song but there is a habit in this site many people love to insult pop songs and adoring rock ones but when it comes to voting rocks songs can't do anything maybe the ones who adore these songs dont wanna vote?

MVÖ became 7th. I think it is not a bad result. Also they made a very nice impression on people and proved that Turks also can make good rock music. This is very important for me, more important than the result. I don't care the result so much but i know Manga will make a great job as performance and the result.
