Eurovision preparations under way
MaNga's song will be in English
MaNga were yesterday announced as the Turkish representatives at the Eurovision Song Contest 2010. The group is now starting their studio recordings, so that they have been forced to postpone the preparations for their album as well as their Eastern Tour.
MaNga also added that the song they will perform in Oslo will be in English. This way, the debate that every year arises in Turkey on the language of their Eurovision entry has been cut before it started.
Since the freedom of language was introduced in the Eurovision Song Contest 1999, Turkey has sent a song in English 4 times and a bilingual (Turkish-English) song 4 times as well.

Göktuğ,i mean strong for the effects it makes.simply takes ur attention with the intro n keeps it goin till the end,i mean assume u dont understand trish;music comes in right moments n ends the song by havin ur attention stil.
beni benimle bırak is nice too but its not catchy enough and easily forgettable, for me at least.şlops!
@Deniz Candy Turk
HAHA, great story!
I hope its in English.
Btw i have made a YouTube channel for maNga. Subscribe or visit the channel please.

Hehe
Ağlak !
I liked it
btw what do you mean by strong ?
well i like it Göktuğ ^^ but its a bit passive compared to bir kadın çizeceksin imo.bkç is strong but this one is a bit sad how can i say ağlak
Almila .. :
Dont you like Beni Benimle Bırak ?
That's pretty attractive and nice .
hahaha rofl marko pakka sounds like the finnish telletubbie lol.oh yeah ao is about to kick off but for the first time im not so eager as u know its the first year without marat safin meh something is sooo missing
back to the topic if its gonna be in trish it has to be a strong music like bir kadin cizeceksin-unlike beni benimle birak-
Marko, Hungary 2007 is a song that stands on its own merits regardless of the language in which it may be performed.
I hope that song will be english.
today it is again said that song will be in turkish more likely i wonder what is the source of this article
@ Almila
Hahaah Thank you!!
that's Makka Pakka from one cartoon!
btw I can't wait for Australian open!!!
@ Mehmet
As Ich Troje said, follow your
and say whatever you feel you should say!!!
YAY Marko!!yup,im back on esctoday!the time has already come, right
btw,u look quite different than the last time i saw u butt u look adorable
@marko
yeah but just for few times! and i cant stop myself to say what i think about manga
@ Shevek
But tell me what do you think, Hungary 2007, is it better in English or in Hungarian? I think 100 X better in English!
@ Mehmet and Almila
YAY!!!! You are on esctoday finally!!
Marko, I feel very strongly about the return of the language rule, as you know. However, the most imporant factors are always the song and its performance. Last year my favourite tw songs were Estonia's and Iceland's. The latter was sung in English and that didn't stop me from getting my priorities right. Just like you, I have strong opinions when it comes to ESC. After all, we are all fans and that's why we discuss these matters at length.
manga is good...they will be out of common at esc 2010.
but sorry manga; no winnng!!
sugar free man,u better not get it.caus whatever turkey does, you wont make a positive comment anyway.
@Deyan Petrov
What?
GUMUS PERLA NOOR
i just can't stand when singers change their style for a better result. That's all.Manga and turkish lang fit perfectly Plus i dont even know their accent if it's gonna be broken as Sakis' ,please Manga, keep it away from us ..
Good luck Manga
at least we will understand what they are saying
in English? lol. even if it's better to hear english than turkish, i can't get the reason they take part.
I personally think the song will have more charm if it's sang in Turkish, but singing in English can reach a broader audience
Both options are very good, if you ask me. Most important thing is the song itself. Good luck!
well all these language comments might smell strategic or technical sometimes but its simply a matter of taste imo.
after all,im not a fan of music in turkish/dont prefer to express my feelings with songs in turkish=dont want it at esc either.like ive said, simply a matter of taste.
but of course TRT CHOOSES THO IT'S NOT THEIR RIGHT!
oh yeah,im mad for sure
@ Shevek
Do you know that Magdi Ruzsa doesn't know 1 word in English and she was quite good in Helsinki!! You always wanna native language, but I sugest you sometimes to think more about song and language. I think Magdi's song will be terrible in Hungarian language!!
c'mon guys even last year romanian singer sang in english and she didn't know any english, everybody can do it if they want but trojan is right they will have 2 songs in turkish and 1 in english and trt will decide
Exactly, Laila. I guess we can still have hope of hearing them sing in Turkish, according to Trojan Lady. For me they would sound more authentic. And if they do go for English (:-(, then they'd better know how to pronounce it!
