Composer to be announced
RTS presents new selection method on Tuesday
On Tuesday, January 19th, at 17:00 CET, the Serbian broadcaster RTS is to hold a press conference in which all the details regarding the 2010 national selection for Eurovision will be disclosed, including the name of the composer to write the Serbian entry for Oslo.
As already reported, that person would write a number of songs to be sung by singers of their choice with the approval of the broadcaster. At the end of December, RTS disclosed several criteria to be followed in the choice of the composer: it will be a well-known name in the music scene, with high achievements in the field of music and a career ensuring the highest professional standards. This led to speculations, claiming that Goran Bregovic could be the man to take over the role.
The winning entry will be selected via SMS vote in a televised show to be aired at a later date.

this is not demokraty...
If ESC is festival format election, all national preselections should be the same format...no called composers, no one song presenting...
all should be invited and the besto one should winn honor to present own country...that would be fer!!!
buuuuuua PTC
I can't wait!
I hope it's either Goran or Zeljko!
Or whoever else who could make a fantastic song...
So it's a press conference to announce what we already know?
@ Kenan missed Angelic
I only got Benim Adım Orman the other week, but that's not why she's my avatar there are 2 reasons for that:
1. She hates Diaspora Voting (or should that be "Doping!"
and wouldn't touch Eurovision with bargepole
and
2. I'm not racist, more specifically not Anti-Turkish and I had to make that clear after yet another pointless debate about Turkish people's voting habits!
*Good
I'm so excited which method they will use!
Goos luck Srbija!
@The Black Adder
WOW, it seems that u are a big fan of Sebnem Ferah!
I agree
Or combining several songwriters with several performers, as I proposed on other Serbian thread
I just don't believe that a single composer (whoever he/she might be) would be able to compose "a number of sings" on demand, and that they would all follow "highest professional standards". It isn't easy to create a masterpiece! Wouldn't it have been wiser to focus on writing ONE song, but a great one?
Ohhhh! you've got the new RTS logo up!
Anyway I'm gutted they'll be no more Beovizja, but I'm sure RTS are doing the right thing after the selection debacles of 2006 and 2009.
OMG I can't wait to see who will they choose to compose!!
