NTU airs prime-time show on Vassyl Lazarovich

This Saturday 23rd, the Ukrainian public broadcaster NTU will air a special programme on their 2010 Eurovision representative Vassyl Lazarovich, entitled Eurovision 2010. First choice. The show will run from 19:00 to 21:00 local time (18:00-20:00 CET) and it will feature several guest artists, some of them former Ukrainian Eurovision representatives.

The aim of the programme is to showcase Vassyl's skills as a bass-baritone singer and kick off his promotion in the lead up to the Eurovision Song Contest, to be held in May in Oslo.

The host for the show will be Vassyl Ilashchuk, president of the Ukrainian broadcaster NTU. Moreover, several leading music producers, journalists, and artists will feature and have a say on Vassyl Lazarovich's singing abilities, such as Edward Klim, Olena Mozgova, Yuri Nikitin, Sergei Kuzin, Alexander Zlotnik, Ruslana (2004 Eurovision winner), Ani Lorak (2008 Eurovision runner-up), Alexander Ponomaryov (2003 Ukrainian representative), Iryna Lysenko and others.

Like tonnes of people have already said, lets not judge this entry until we hear the song and we definitely shouldn't judge it just based upon a picture of the singer, thats so narrow minded.

Actually this guy is good looking, so I don't know why people complain about his looks?

Yes, he doesn't have this typical feminine look that ESC viewers seem to like in guys, but he is not ugly at all.

I do think though that Ukraine have much better names to choose from, but we will have to wait for the song to judge.

I hope for something ethno and finally something in UKRAINIAN! :)

Ethno ballad maybe?

I'm curious about the song. Let's wait and see what Ukraine will give us this year. Knowing them, I'm quite sure we can expect something good.

Who cares what he looks like as long as the song is good. I guess people get offended easily these days by naturality. "Ooo, a bald man, how horrible, how dare he, well he has no chance".
He seems to have a strong voice and I'm glad we won't get another half-naked woman with a less-than-average voice, song and accent...

I hope he will sing in Ukrainian and I hope for good songs obviously.

Why most of people think that Ukraine doesn't have a chance this year just because they competing with bald headed straight guy instead of stereotyped sexy girl in tiny skirt or drag queen? We still have to hear the song.
B
unch of prejudices.

I have a feeling that Ukraine wants to play it safe this year and do not really feel like winning or orginizing again....

I feel that Ukraine won't be in the final this year, for the first time since 2003 !! :(
But I still hope for good song! ;) :)
