I think this song is okay. maybe not Eurovision song, but I think it's catchy and better than some of the 10 Eesti Laul finalists.

@Nord Lander
You've got to shut up and stop making false assumptions about people you don't even know. Out of the box? I listen to quite a lot of music that is not A4 so just STFU already. Find someone else to hate on.

@Richard M
And you call it breaking ground by sending ONLY alternative crap music? Whatever. Yes, they brought "something new" to ESC, but they don't exactly have any variety this year do they. There is hardly any mix here so far. I would say sending an extreme metal song would be completely new for Eurovision, but I guess you can think of another song like that in Eurovision history, loooool. You can think what you want of MGP and the songs this year, but it is a fact that they have a wider selection of genres this year than this here.
A smaller population and less money does not excuse bad songs. A country need not be rich or highly populated in order to make great music. If that were true then why is there good music from Moldova EVERY year? And why is there good music coming out of Africa at all??? Whatever again.

@ sanka

Is it online? I would like to listen to it, Tiiu has some really good music judging from what I've heard in her myspace page.

I had a chance to listen to song By Tiiu Kiik . After listening to her song i wouldnt say the songs we have heard so far are very alternative and different. Her song " The one and only - love " would fit perfectly to hypnitization session. Hasnt got a chance to win, but its relaxing and totally non- esc style

With someone like Piret involved, I was hoping for better. This doesn't really resonate. The vocals are so empty. It doesn't sound like Piret at all. Maybe it's the stick-person in the video singing. I'll listen a few more times. All hopes are now for Lenna.

You mean Baltics not Balcans, but I hope Balkan wil be good this year too! :D

OMG from Latvia I (L) 2 songs this year:
- Kristine Karkla-Purin
- Lauris Reiniks

I like this one, I really do...! Estonia turns out to be in the battle for the greatest NF this year, along with Finland...
1. Iiris Vesik - Astronaut
2. Robin Juhkental - Siren
3. Disco4000 - Ei Usu
4. Rolf Junior & Violina - Maagiline Päev
5. Mimicry - New
6. Groundhog Day - Teiste Seest Koigile

In Latvia, I've got Aisha in a clear front position, followed by Lauris Reiniks, Trianas parks and Kristine Karkla-Purina...

Balcans have great potential this year, just like Finland - hope they won't waste it...

Sanka
"Tokyo night" and "I'l take you high" typical ESC songs?? NO WAY! :D Almost all songs from this year MGP are not typical ESC stuff, but of course some of them are...

sanka [60037]
Fri 29 Jan 2010 13:28:28

As i understand they compared the songs in both finals and the difference between them . one has many traditional esc songs and the other has many new styles- that's the difference

not a bad effort, but it is weak compared to the other songs from the Estonian NF. I like Rolf ft. Violina! I think Estonia could do wery well with that song!

Sanka
Yes of course, but why they compare Estonian NF with MGP, what's the points and what's conection between those 2 things in this article! Nonsense... :S

Horrible song, far better than any of Norway's songs though. You've got to get out of the box.

att Laila ♥ YEUROVIZJON! [58775

you think that Norway has lots of good songs? think again. Considering that Estonia has 1/5 the population of Norway and far less money, I think the songs comparatively are far better, at least they dare to break new ground with new genres rather than keep to the traditional formats.

Okay I don't like this song, but all the genres are completely different and they have a good mix for the 10 songs - rather that than 32 songs of crappy pop and boring ballads or sugar sweet next-door neighbour type boys.

I do like it, though I don't think it will be such a strong song to present live in Eurovision

I have to agree with the negative comments. I had high hopes for this by looking at the names behind it but it turned out to be the worst finalist so far. :(

I like estilaul. the songs are always very different. compare it to schlager europop and ethnoballads and the estonians always have edge. Having said that judging by the comments here and imagining it being live this will go down like a deflated baloon. my favourite is siren for something different in Oslo

Another crap song in the horrendous Estonian NF! It is so tragic. Groundhog Day is the "best" of the horror songs. :( So disappointed.

OMG I like this!!!!!! :D But yes it's weird! :P
And I started to like Iiris "Astronaut" since yesterday which is also weird! :P
But Violina feat. Rolf Junior is still the best!! :) *not weird* :P
