Maria Kirizian, already qualified for the national final?
A Finn to represent Armenia in Oslo?
Maria Kizirian was born in Finland’s Arctic region, but soon moved to the USA with her parents. Since a very early age, Maria has been involved with music. When she was 4, she learned to play the violin, and at the age of 10, she was already performing with the local symphony. Her singing career kicked off as a teenager, when she won a school singing contest, which encouraged her to follow that path.
Finnish brodcaster MTV3 reports that the Armenian jury "fell in love" with Maria's song and decided to grant her a spot in the national final, to be held on February 14th at the Opera House in Yerevan. Nonetheless, the official list of participants will be announced on February 10th. The song has already received much exposure on US radiostations in both the San Francisco Bay area and New York.
Little red riding hood "is not the story of old, there's no red cape. It is a modern story of a girl who falls for the wolf in sheep's clothing", as Maria herself describes her entry on her MySpace page. The Finnish singer feels proud about the song's making process, as it has been entirely composed by herself and her family: Maria wrote, sang, and produced the song; her daughters Cheyenne and Melody sing backing vocals, along with cousin Tim Demirjian and his daughter, Joy. The song was mixed by her husband, Paul Kirizian.

@ Kenan
Yes! They were estonian. And they got 8th place (the highest place for Switzerland after 1993)
@Paschalis
Do u mean the Swiss representant in 2005 'Vanilla Ninja'?

Yes there is a hypothez that Proto Armenians /Phrigians/ were from Balkans and here is why armenian and greek languages are the most close to each other! But according to that thesis armenian nation is the result of that people, Hittians, Urartians, Semits! But there are other thsises about our ethnogenesis!
WOW!! That's a winning song....If she represents Armenia, which she should do with this wonderful song, she might be one of the best in Oslo.
An estonian band brought Switzerland their best result in the 00s btw.
@Laila
Oh I didn't realise she was married to one. Although Isis was also LIVING in Poland, remember.
Please vote for the song and NOT nationality... This is most likely the best song you will have this year.
I like it! It's catchy and it's good.

PLEASE SEND THIS, ARMENIA!!
@Ben Gray
She does have some connection to Armenia since she is married to one, lol. Wasn't this also the case with Isis Gee?
lol...little red riding hood's song..I really don't like it!And i don't think the armenian public will choose this...
i don't like it, sorry... chorus is too much of quiet screaming and first beats remind me of beginning of ''We will rock you'' ha ha...
this song is definitely not the style i like...

I am an Armenian with a typical Armenian nose and darkbrown hair like the overwhelming majority of Armenians, I am proud of what I am so why are you trying to show that there are Armenian blond girls, we are in the 21 century, people are so mixed that we even have black Armenians let alone blonds, so this whole thing is pointless
@Hektor,
are always so ultimative ?...
Well, i knew about Ankara and galatians that came there around 278 BC.. celtic power! XD
Well, by sayin that armenians are not originally Anatolians you may refer to the popular hypothesis that they were phrygian colonists that came to the Asia Minor from Europe (most early known) Balkan part of it? Hmm, or maybe something else lol.., i got email on my page you can send me some stuff.., anyways it is interesting. (i'm almost never on msn
)
@tigran theGreat
Look at my video of Armenians. Hektor is saying there are no blonde Armenians as if turks are even more blonde than Swedes or Russians.

Hektor Sgargapises
and why are you so interested in Armenians??? what is funny in a blond girl representing Armenia??? and who said Armenians insist that they are blond???and how can you be so ignorant to claim there are no Armenian blond girls at all, actually I pesonally know many Armenian girls with darkblond hair, especially those who are the offsprings of Armenian-russian mix parents? can you tell me how do you want to prove that Armenians are not Anatolians??!! the origin of the Armenian nation is a myatery that even armenian historians have no answer for it except some hypotheses but one thing is for sure Armenians were there long before the arrival of the first Turkic tribes.
stop being so ignorant and you will see that no one has anything against you
God please get these Azeris off my back they are so annoying!
@Galust Navasardyan
Weeren't you the one commenting few days ago to someone about freedom of speech? And you're asking mermaid to shut up? Double standards much? Sorry, but not everything can go the way you want it too.
Well, I liked her! A talanted singer! She is from Finland - not surprising!
Guys guys if you wanna talk about blue eyes blond hair, etc. Look at this video made by me of armenians.

Are the Finns the source of total confusion this Eurovision? Firs they send the most unlikely possible act to Eurovision, now an American-raised Finn bids to represent Armenia with no personal connections to the country and a song that's about as Armenian as enchiladas???
