Sweden...each year I rely on you to give me a dose of good old fashioned schlager. This collection of songs disappoints me greatly. If I had to choose the two strongest, I'd go for the two ballads...Jessica and Pain of Salvation.
Alcazar - do NOT let me down!
And now the songs go all american ...
I really can't see why people think all the songs are bad?
they are not at all ..... no NF tonight have good songs, the only good song for Norway is didrik but for me when I have heard it again is quiet boring
.... iceland nahhhh, and denmark, I wasen't very impressed by.
1. Ola
I Like this song its catchy and its NOT SCHLAGER ! it's modern and good !
2. jenny silver -
BOOOOOOOORRRRING!!!
3.Linda Pritchard
exocitc and very american, I like this, it's nice to me
4. pain of salvations
this was so boring
I did'nt like it at all ....
5.anders ekborg
old fashioned and very boring, I guees this will pass to the finale anyway
6. Jessica Andersson
well she is nice but the song is not nice it's way to avarage for me :/
7. Fristråkaren
it's okay nothing more, this would kill ESC though lol
8. Salem al fakir
I LOOOOVVVEEE THIIIIS !!!!!!!!!!!! It's very myserious and strange but I like it. I really want to hear the whole song
A very good semi final ! Modern and trendy !
Liked the songs -go Sweden!
Pain of salvation and Jessica to the final...
PAIN OF SALVATION (10 TIMES WOW)
JESSICA ANDERSSON (VERY GOOD)
THE REST... NOTHING SPECIAL
1st-Pain of Salvation - Road Salt (WOW)
2nd-Jenny Silver - A place to stay (Very sophisticate song, I love it!)
3rd-Salem al Fakir - Keep On Walking
4th-Jessica Andersson - I did it for love
5thLinda Pritchard - You're making me hot-hot-hot (Not my taste, but can really do well!)
6th-Ola - Unstoppable
7th-Frispråkarn - Singel
8th-Anders Ekborg - The Savior
This is my list after 2 listenings!
-----------------------------------------------------
1. Pain of Salvation - Road Salt
2. Frispråkarn - Singel
3. Ola - Unstoppable
4. Jessica Andersson - I did it for love
5. Linda Pritchard - You're making me hot-hot-hot
6. Anders Ekborg - The Savior
7. Salem Al Fakir - Keep on walking
8. Jenny Silver - A place to stay
I really like Road Salt! Nice ballad. Frispråkarn is my type of music. The rap is great and the chorus too!
The other ones are average in this heat.
@ Stockholm calling:
thanks for the info, oh and the wardrobe tips
wow, sounds interesting and something to look forward to! Let's see if that elevates the whole song!
Togravus
I've always loved rap and hip hop, especially French stuff.[.i]
OMG
I LOVE French rap and hip hop, I just ADORE Zaho, Kenza Farah and Tunisiano!!!
Anders Ekborg - The saviour & Jessica Andersson - I did it for love , for me
I think Pain Of Salvation -" Road Salt" is definitively through !!! Although this is not the whole song and I haven't seen or heard the performance... But from this list it sounds different, unique and it stood out as a clear winner to me.
Still I must say last year first semi was quiet impressive, and according to this songs it won't be repeated... I hope there are more better songs in semis to come!
My favourite is Jessica Andersson!
I really expected more from Sweden, this a very boring and bad semifinal, I think Salem and Jessica will pass.
Bleh, I am gonna skip this. Every year is the same: same styles, same singers, same composers... Put these songs in Romania and you will say they're mediocre. But as they come from Sweden, this is the best European final. What a lie!
Don't really know if it's good that we got to know the winner of each round - so the final could lose a bit of its tension I fear...
anyway, based on the snippets, it's for me:
1. Jenny Silver - A Place To Stay
---
2. Pain of Salvation - Road Salt
---
3. Salem al Fakir - Keep On Walking
4. Ola - Unstoppable
---
5. Frisprakarn - Singel
6. Jessica Andersson - I Did It For Love
7. Linda Pritchard - You're Making Me Hot-Hot-Hot
8. Anders Ekborg - The Saviour
Disappointed...
I'm actually now loving Jenny - Place To Stay. Hope it qualifies. Think it could be a dark horse ( though I'll be totally wrong and it will come last haha) Good luck
Salem Salem SALEM
Ola is the best in this semifinal....
Rest songs are boring
I like most of the songs, im impressed, i thought that most of the songs would be weaker.
Jessica Andersson, Salem al fakir, and pain of salvation where the best.
I dont like Frispråkarn, Lina Pritchard and the saviour.
My faves.:
1] Frispråkarn - Singel KooL!!! (someone mp3 download link pleaz?)
2] Linda Pritchard - You're Making Me Hot-Hot-Hot (just imagined myself jumpin on my bed while listening this song..that flute sounds really funny! love it...
)
3] Jessica Andersson - I Did It For Love { Celine Dion style?} :/
4] Ola - Unstoppable well, typical ESC song.. but its oke..
Michalis M
I was surprised too as Pain of Salvation is a metal band. This is however a ballad. Daniel, the lead singer of PoS is more or less alone on the stage, the other band members are scattered around him.
Yeah, that's what people (who have watched the rehearsal) say, Jenny's song is not memorable. But her clothes are - she will be wearing a metal "swimming costume" and a silver glove
Jessica Andersson for me
I thought Melodifestivalen would be different this year but I'm not so sure now!
Road Salt for sure caught my attention. I don't know any of the performers of the songs and by the looks of this lot i was thinking it was going to be a rock song, i was surprised. It may of course pick up in the end but even so i liked it, if Sweden goes with something like this for a change it may attract many more votes than expected. Still, too early.... Jenny Silver's song also has an ambiance but maybe not instantly memorable enough for ESC. There are perhaps a couple more cute ones that could grow on me, including the Saviour except that the lyrics are a bit creepy lol
Linda Pritchard & Frispråkarn for me.. rest is.. pretty lame from what I've heard... but that might change..
Ola : I quite like the bouncy rhythm, not a huge fan of the song but it's not bad either
Jenny Silver : A bit odd .. well it's the sort of trendy pop music that is really "in" nowadays but I don't really get it
Linda Pritchard : Again, the rhythm is addictive, even if the song isn't anything special.
Pain of Salvation : We really can't tell much from this clip, but I think the song is going to be something quite special when we hear the whole thing, so I really look forward to seeing this one live
Anders Ekborg : Not sure ... it's very 80's, I do kinda like the verses but the chorus puts me off a little. I think the 3 minute hearing might appeal to me more.
Jessica Andersson : Doesn't really grab me, I think it'll do well though.
Frispråkarn : A bit crap
Salem : This song is so odd! I can't say I like it, but i'm interested as to how it'll be presented on stage.
And the Swedish selection beguins... from these bunch, I point out Jenny Silver, Pain of Salvation, Jessica Andersson and Frispråkarn. Good luck!
I thought the danish MGP would be nice since the beginning and I think the same about the first semi of MF.
