Italy: Jalisse to attend OGAE Italy 20th birthday!
OGAE Italy is now proud to announce that Jalisse have confirmed their participation in their birthday party. Fabio Ricci and Alessandra Drusian will be OGAE Italy's guests for the evening, singing for the club members and speaking about their projects and their participation in the Eurovision Song Contest back in 1997. OGAE Italy would like to thank Fabio and Alessandra for accepting their invitation and celebrating this important birthday with them.
Although Italy hasn't taken part in the Eurovision Song Contest for almost 13 years, the italian club is more active than ever, and more and more new members subscribe to it.
Apart from enjoying Fabio and Alessandra's presence at their party, OGAE Italy members will take part in a quiz and a karaoke competition, enjoy music and videos, a buffet dinner, and dance to the music of a very special DJ: Miran Cvetko of Slovenia.
During the party, Eddy Anselmi, journalist and writer (his new book "Festival di Sanremo 1951-2010" is now out), will present the club's new website he's currently working on as well as the new logo.
Very special thanks to Cristina Giuntini for the submission of the article.

In my opinion Italy has the best quality pop music in all of Europe. Please come back!!!
"...just imagine your own country being out of the contest for 13 years!..."
Been there, done that
Sara ... I'm relieved now!
Back on topic: I am very glad that Italy still has an OGAE (although I not too fond of those clubs in general) because it is a sign that ESC isn't totally dead in Italy. And I am very glad everytime there is an article on Italy on esctoday, because I think that we should all care for the Italian fans. Just imagine your own country being out of the contest for 13 years! The horror, the horror ...
togravus:
No need to apologize
I understand why you got upset, cause you really want Germany to come back with some good songs and a good result in ESC. Very understandable. I am just not too fond of that selection method, but I do understand you ...so no need to worry about that
jalisse was my favourite in 1997.. italy can comeback with her how they left to contest.
Jalisse in 1997 were amazing and would have been deserving winners that year! Although the UK won in Dublin, so i can't complain. I always wondered what RAI would have done if Italy had indeed won back then.
I miss Italy in ESC. Would be nice if they returned to the contest.
@ Sara (off topic)
Have you seen my apology on the German thread? I don't know why I was so pissed that day. Well, I know why I was ... but still that is no excuse for being rude ...
Johnny Europa:
I love your nick
So you like Didrik..hehe?
Si prega di tornare l'Italia. Sei molto la mancanza

Although Italy hasn't taken part in the Eurovision Song Contest for almost 13 years, the italian club is more active than ever, and more and more new members subscribe to it.
Hope this means they could consider the road back to ESC (??) That would've been so amazing.
loved jalisse in 97 , was my fave that year. pity italy wont take part anymore
Can't OGAE Italy put pressure on RAI to take part again at the ESC? They seem to be doing nothing.
@New in Town
yes, indeed! especially for Ireland, there have been so many rumors or even confirmed participations, but still no news! It's a pity! and we get too many articles about past NF losers or past participants that didn't even get in the top20 of their years! a shame
I know this is off-topic and I don't want to complain really...
but there has not been a single news topic about some countries that are in their progress choosing this year (Netherlands, Ireland).. eventhough there are worthy news about things going on in their process.
