Interview on RTÉ
Ireland: Logan snubbed as Eurosong judge
Speaking on the new RTÉ chatshow "The Saturday Night Show," Logan spoke about his career to date and on the national selection process to choose an entry for Ireland.
Most notably he mentions he was offered to appear on The Late Late Show: Eurosong 2010, the irish national final to select their entry for the Eurovision Song Contest this year, to perform and act as a judge. However as Logan chose to appear on tonight's "The Saturday Night Show" three weeks earlier, his invite to appear on Eurosong was retracted the following day.
Logan also performs a disco version of his Eurovision Song Contest 1987 winning song "Hold me now."

I love all 3 of his songs. I still think he's too arrogant!
Manuel (Germany)
No he's not.
I think Johnny is a good person and people here are jealous of this 3 Eurovision wins for Ireland
I am a bit unsure why someone who has had no success as a song writer in the contest for almost twenty years and well over twenty years as a performer is a desirable asset to any panel. He's no better than Lys Assia, who they insist on removing from her crypt each May. Tsk.
He is so arrogant. Oh I had a platinum album. I worked so hard to be where I am abroad.. Not a lot of Germans even know who he is!
I agree with Michael, the judges comments last year were all positive. What's the point of that!
Johnny Logan - what a man. He still tries to build a carreer upon his two Eurovision victories. Pathetic.

Johnny is too nice to be a judge,
This year I hope the UK has Simon Cowel himself as the only jury member
But he speaks the truth RTÉ are currupt as hell. Its sad to see the once great broadcaster like this. but for example even the small stage Johnny performed "Hold me Now" on was better than the Irish 2009 Eurosong stage so I hope RTé do something special this year cause so far im only impressed by the names in the Irish Final. RTÉ never impress me
I think RTÉ made the right choice. Johnny wouldn't be a good judge anyway and will just give positive comments to everyone, like he did in the Dutch national final. He probably doesn't want to risk he's popularity, which is already pretty poor in Ireland.
Interesting
Best of Luck to Ireland this year
Of course everyone who watched the Dutch national final knew that every positive comment Johnny Logan made towards the contestants wasn't the truth. I would've done the same, lol..
I believe if Johnny Logan wrote Hold Me Now, this year and entered eurovision song contest this year with this song he would have still won it, becaus Hold Me Now is truly great song and its not easy to beat, comes once in looong years, thank you johnny
maybe they were scared he might speak his mind
Johnny is not a professional judge, he was probably trying to be polite.
He was one of the juries at NSF. And instead of telling his honest opinion, he said some sugary stuff. A few days after he was interviewed by another Dutch show, and then he admitted that he thought it was awful.
I've also seen him judging the Flemish Eurosong, and I am sure his behaviour there was similar. What is the use of a jury, when they don't do what they are hired for.
