Disqualified entry for Greek final on download
Katerine's Enjoy the day released
This means that the rumuors stating a possible chance for Avgoustakis to compete in the national final have been ruled out. In a press conference broadcasted on Star TV Katerine describes the notification about her disqualifcation as a complete shock.
She explained that Greek broadcaster ERT did not suggest her to submit another song. Dissapointment was highly evident on the Belgian born singer’s face as she admitted about the exictement on trying her luck for Greece in the Eurovision Song Contest.
Earlier this week esctoday.com revealed that Katerine’s entry was leaked on youtube and an immediate reaction came up from ERT that decided to disqualify the singer who was hotly discussed in Greece. Enjoy the day can be downloaded on iTunes.

The Greek final takes place on 12th March with eight acts in contention for the ticket to Oslo.

Certain things I do know my friend..... you guys just ignore certain facts.... because you are Greek.... Otherwise you could see the truth aswell, now you are blind for certain things... I wonder why ?

Boring and uninspiring song that would probably do a Kate Ryan in the semis and Greece would be left out of the final. I'm sure there will be way better songs than this in the Greek final.

She knows the best what the reasons are, so please stop with your mean predictions, you're always heartless. What if she doesn't have a clue about Eurovision at all and thus about the voting tendencies? It's only people like you who have the time to analyze diaspora numbers and the voting.
poor girl...ert s*cks hard seriously!!! i love some other artists in our nf but tbh after the way they handled things i hope we dont even qualify this year so that they wake up from now on and dont act like morons towards artists that do them the honor of taking part in their lame nf..
Well I remember her performing live on the Belgian semi with "Watch me move" and she is no great singer or performer... sorry but she only wanted to represent Greece for all the wrong reasons.... Not because she feels Greek at all.... she knew that she had 80 % chance of passing the semi for Greece (for Belgium it would be 10 %) so she prefered Greece and now that dream is in pieces... I understand she's upset but he rules are there they be followed.
if the Belgians are smart she have to represent Belgium next year. no matter for which broadcaster. (i think its the walonian broadcaster next year no?).
Greece is a contry that didnt bring her musical luck so i dont think she needs to humiliate her self to participate there next year. she needs to represent proudly her home contry Belgium.
btw.....great song but i dont think it realy could do good for top 10 in Eurovision. it would have pass to the final but could get only 11-15 placing.
she have a great voice and i think next year if she will try for Belgium, she have to go on a growing ballad or much more catchy dance-pop song (like shady lady).
first of all, Katerine is learning Greek. She didn't like learning language, but the last months she spent so much time in Greece, so she decided she wanted to be able to speak the language. So Mina, it is not realy her fault that she couldn't learn a whole language in just a couple of weeks, but at least she's trying.
Second, she was NOT aware the song was on Youtube, it was NOT posted by herself or her enthourage, it was posted by a DJ who made a remix. The remix was posted without the knowledge of Katerine or her entourage. The DJ did NOT have permission to post it. Allthough a rule is broken, it's not her fault.
If i should have the songs of the other contestants, and i post them, would that be the fault of the other contestants?

my message was not addresed to all Greek eurofans of course, but many of them (don't want to be misinterpreted)
I really can not understand the way that the fans of Eurovision act here in Greece. When Katerine's name was first announced, everybody was against her, saying that she can't represent Greece or that it would be a shame to send an act similar to what we 've sent all these years. And then, with her disqualification, she suddenly became everybody's protegee and "the only chance for Greece to have qualified to the final". If the greek fans do not support the Greek decisions, then why should the rest of Europe do? I certainly won't miss ms. Augoustaki in the NF, there are so much better performers and different genres to look forward to. The Greek media has once again achieved to take notice from what's important (who is the best to represent us) and make scandals out of nowhere. She didn't follow the rules, she's out. It's not like she would have won the NF with that dirge anyway.

I hope some songs from Greek NF will be good especialy I hope for good uptempo songs from Greece coz I know that kind of Greek ballads I love won't compete for ESC! LOL

What happened to caterine was completely injustice. All the other candidates are too low level and i really hope greece to not qualify to the final this year. It would be a good lesson for stupid erts people if greece finished in the last position in the second final.
Besides we cant say a word about the song the version we know was in first stages. In the final version sounds completely different and its amazing.
She doesnt speak greek so what? Many heroes of the greek revolution in 1821 and almost all heroes of the balcan wars in the macedonian part of greece didnt speak greek also. The important think is what your hearts follow not the language you speak.

of course she must feel greek, too, after all she's half-greek. I just think she exaggerates a lot.
Anyway, what's done is done and no use arguing about it. If she does want to try for Greece, she can always do it some other year and this time be more careful.
For now, I'm more interested in hearing the 8 remaining songs and hope that one or more of them will be good.

I don't think that the fact that she doesn't speak greek is her fault but her father's fault...And yes she has family here and how can you be sure that she doesn't feel greek at all?
Whether "enjoy the day"is a strong entry or not has nothing to do with the fact that people don't agree with her disqualification...I said before that i haven't heard the rest of the songs so i am not at all sure that i would vote for Katerine...
But people whether you agree with Mina or not at least she can engage in a civilized conversation.Other behaviours should be reprimanded by all of us here...
