Leak results in early release
4th Melodifestivalen semi final clips online now
SVT have published clips of the last eight songs competiting at the Malmo semi final on Saturday 27th February following a leak of the songs by Sibel and Peter Jöback late on Saturday night through a Yahoo chat group. The songs are available to listen to here.
Following the leak of the songs Stop and Hollow, which appears to have occurred after someone managed to reach the SVT server storing the files and downloaded them, SVT has devided to ensure that all eight song clips are available to prevent any entries from receiving an unfair advantage.
SVT has found that no record companies or publishers were involved in the leak and that the file leak came directly from SVT equipment. The regular radio show presenting the songs on Friday will go ahead as scheduled. There is no word as yet as to whether SVT will take action against those who leaked the song files to the public domain.

Lovestoned and Sibel to the final please.. Too many boring songs in the final of Melodifestivalen already (apart from Kom). Peter Jöback's song is awful.
Stockholm
Ohhh that was AMAZING, her voice is reallu unique and I like it!
And she was 16 in 2008!
Now she's 18!!
@ Stockholm calling
Anna's voice is amazing. It reminds me a little bit of Tracy Chapman actually.

Anna Bergendahl auditioning for Swedish Idol in 2008:
http://www.youtube.c(...)/watch?v=dr_0kYZg9zY
If Anna doesn't qualify I will cry!
lol
OMG, Pernilla Wahlgren should representing Sweden this year!!!!!
come on Sweden, brake out of your stereotypic melodi-mold. Send Road salt with Pain of Salvation
None of these songs sounds interesting to me. Maybe Sibels could be good, but other than that...?
"Hollow" with Peter Jöback sounds like a snoozefest...
I hope Salem Al Fakir will win.
Or Timoteij maybe. (If Eric Saade wins I will eat up myself..)
But I'm quite curious about Anna B and Lovestoned
I like songs of:
- Sibel
- Lovestoned
- Anna Bergendahl
The problem with Salem's song is I doubt it has the mass-appeal it needs to gain enough televotes to qualify even.
I know the MF juries will most likely vote him #1, but I don't think he will manage to get a good position in ESC.
Sending any of the ballad guys (Darin+Andreas+Peter) will most probably make us stuck in the semi for sure. These are actually bad songs in general.
salem al fakir for oslo...no other have a chance go salem
wouldn't want to spend my time on a forum dedicated to something I think is "bad". There's nothing that is "too good" or "real artist" because music taste is and always will be a subjective matter. It's quite annoying people sitting on their high horses and tell others what "real music" should be about...
Absolutely. That's why I cannot understand why some people on here even bother, since all they do is hate hate hate. If they don't like 3-minute pop songs they'd be better off spending their time going to jazz concerts, rock festivals or the opera than focusing on a contest specifically designed to produce 3-minute pop songs. But hey, I guess some people just thrive on negativity.
It also annoys me when people assume that "original" always equals good, also. You often get the impression that if something is original (or what is percieved to "original"
, some people will jump on it. In the same way that also, if a song is a pop song (and not even a bad one) some people will despise it for being a pop song.
Well some people simply don't like pop music, and that's fair enough. If we all had the same taste there would be no need for a song contest at all, we could just have a winner appointed. Original is often the result of trying to stand out at any cost and sometimes that's a clever strategy, but when ALL the songs in a contest are original or weird in one way or another the songs that will stand out from the rest are the traditional pop songs. We will see what happens this year. There's already a fair share of WTF here, I'd be surprised if they all manage to stand out from each other.
And
Iwona Wegrowska - Poland
Viktorija Apostolova - Macedonia
Yeah I forgot Sirdels - Lithuania!!
I can't stop listening to Anna's snippet, she is my new hero of 2010 ESC!!
Mira Craig - Norway
Leylla - Moldova
Manca Shpik - Slovenia
Coral Segovia - Spain
V-boy - Portugal
Anna Bergendahl - Sweden
Peter Jöback till Olso. The only one this year from MF who can win Eurovision.
Salem FTW! ... Favourite from this heat is Noll Disciplin, but like Laila said, no chance unfortunately.
Nothing is wrong with me, dear Engla. G
on only make up 1/2 of the music part of the song and I have never said I am incapable of liking his music, it all depends on what the songs are like.
For instance, Coral sucked *** (and he played a bigger part in that composition), but Lovestoned was good. CB is best though.
haha, vinterland and kom aren´t even alike xD it´s surely not plagiarism.
out of these snippets i like Anna Bergendahl. Her voice is really cool!
@Laila
Woow you are liking a Gson song. What's wrong with you?
laila
talk about not having the same taste in music.........
some pretty good songs, i like NEO, Anna Bergendahl and lovestoned the most so far, but i also think Peter Göbacks song will grow the more i listen to it
01. Sibel - stop
This song is so hectic and irritating. It makes me angry listening to it, gosh, so ugly, so bad... - 0/10
02. Py Bäckman - magisk stjärna
This song is ugly, I don't like it. It sounds like a lullaby. Awful...
- 1/10
03. Neo - human frontier
OMG! So childish, hits for kids again... So 90s/2000 again, just like Timoteij.
I feel embarrassed listening to it. Cheap song, annoying beat, childish and his voice...
- 1/10
04. Lovestoned - Thursdays
This song is great and stands out in a very positive way. I hope this could surprise-win now since Crucified Barbara is a lost cause. Great song that sounds up to date at least. Since I like it, I am sure it won't win though, lol. - 9/10
05. Anna Bergendahl - this is my life
I was looking forward to this song, but it is another disappointment. A very average song. - 5/10
06. Pernilla Wahlgren - jag vill om du vågar
Another bad song trying to be modern. I don't like these type of songs. It just sounds too much like every other wannabe-radio hits, I feel like I've heard this melody before... not good. 3/10
07. Noll disciplin - idiot
It's not too great, but it easily beats most songs in MF this year. Sadly, this has no chance either. 6/10
08. Peter Jöback - hollow
Terrible, cheap crap song. Another Kempe-flop in my books. The lyrics are so banal and I never liked Peter's music before either. Not a fan of his voice or his too polished appearance, everything about him just rubs me the wrong way. I wouldn't be surprised if it did win, but after hearing it I think maybe someone else will win. There is no doubt that wrong song will win though, unless the voters surprise for once and let Lovestoned win... 1/10
My rank of the best MF songs left;
1. Crucified Barbara
2. Pauline
3. Lovestoned
I really like Anna Bergendahl from these snippets. A good ballad and her voice is fantastic! The snippets don't tell much about the other songs. I need to see the performances.
