Song will be in English

Turkish song launched on March 3rd

The song to represent Turkey in Oslo will be made public on March 3rd. Turkish broadcaster TRT chose the song out of three entries delivered by ManGa a couple of weeks ago. As of now, we know that their song will be in English, as we reported earlier.

TRT chose a song including traditional sounds. Authorities say that "the song is in English, which reflects MaNga's characteristics, and features traditional effects. Minor adjustments are to be made to the song".

The song will be publicly presented on the 3rd of March at a special press conference, held by TRT in Istanbul.

Turkey will compete at the second half of the second semifinal of the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest, to be held on May 27th.

The difference between you and me, seems very clear and is understood. I wish you try to honestly and good luck in your life :(

@Lina

Why would you say something like that?? Kosovo?? where did that spring from??

You need to stop stereotyping and placing everyone in the same category ;) seriously that is not how it goes ;)

Gunes, You should be honestly. For God Sake!! I hope you understand this word! "FOR GOD SAKE!" You are Slander always our song. This is your bad wishes about our song. And I disapprove your bad thinks. Please no more Slander about our song. Good luck to Eva, Good luck to MaNgA and good luck to ESC.
Please no more Slander our song.

Jan Jan cım sweetie I have no hatred to your song whatsoever, or your nation, I only feel hurt (btw your friends were not so polite with me either as you can see). Participants in such contests should be extra careful about the lyrics of the songs and what message they are giving with it. If maNga sends a song containing any political innuendo (which I don't presume) I will consider it wrong HUGS AND KISSES

Gunes, my sister jan the purpose of friendship, you can should understand me very easy. I am look with carefully to the articles of haydo. they advice in almost every article, the subject finish. but you respond to each post 3 times with else and others irrevelant subject. We love our song and we love MaNgAs song also. And we love to the ESC. But you tirelessly for days doing negative propaganda about our song. Day length. And there are no many people just 4 person and the 4 person always advice to you, focus on the song, focus on the song, please focus on the song........ They wishes to Manga good luck always..... But you my sister, you never and never stop but writen continue negative to the our song with persist. Sadly :)
I am not about histoy here!
BUT UNFORTUNATLY YOU STİLL BLAME OUR SONG CONTINUE :) AND THIS IS NOT HONESTLY!
But I say repeat to you my sister
What do you want, you can understand it. Your understanding and your feelings are ofcourse belong to you. But you do not have a right to hate propagandism about our song. Peace GOD SAKE!!!

@ Kenan, yes I know she was ill; but even if she wasnt Norway would have still won because their song was better.

I think its a good thing that Turkey has waited longer this year before they show the song because last year seemed really rushed to me. I also think that the EBU should actually have a rule whereby all songs should all be launched publicly on the same day to make it more fair.

Also, I'm actually more optimistic this year than I was last year. Dum tek tek was a good song but not strong enough. I like loads of Hadise's songs but not all of them. Whereas with MaNga I have never disliked any of their songs before.

@Ozi :-)

I totally agree with u about 'Cevapsiz Sorular', the song is great and meaningfull! (L) :)About Hadise, she was ill and couldn't do a great performance, but I don't think she would came in a better rank without these 2 mistakes either as many of our Turks r saying! :SThe 4th place is ideal for her, not too good and not too bad! :)

Me too! But recently, I keep listening to the song 'cevapsız sorular' it's a totally awesome song! The article says that there will be traditional elements so I'm asuming that it will be more like 'bir kadın çizeceksin' either way I would be happy :)

If Hadise can come 4th than maNga could win it lool because they are waaaaay better than her (sorry Hadise lovers lool) plus there is no good songs so far. 2010 is a disappointing year so far.

Jan Jan honey I'm sorry if I broke your heart but if you read my comments you will see that I have no bad words for my good Armenian friends, as you can see in one comment that my best friend is an Armenian living in Turkiye. I have expressed my sorrow for each side's (both Turkish and Armenian people) and I am expecting some Armenian friends to feel sorrow for the Turkish people killed by Armenian rebels back then. And this song by Eva Rivas has all kinds of propaganda material in its lyrics and that is what I am against. I LOVE YOU JAN JANCIM AND GOOD LUCK TO EVA ANYWAY
