I also remember spending a lot of time in Madrid the year Rosa participated. It was crazy ESCfever everywhere. Everybody in Spain were supporting Rosa. She won Operacion Triunfo beating big names like David Bisbal, David Bustamante and Chenoa and she got the chance to represent Spain in Eurovison. The best of it was watching her on that stage with her fellow partners of OT performing Europe's living a celebration. I Loved that year.
I remember spending one month in beautiful wonderful Madrid in April and May the year when Rosa represented Spain. You could hear the song everywhere, and people would ask me to vote for Rosa! So with a couple of good results I am sure that the ESC will get better viewing figures in Spain as well! I am hoping and expecting a top 10 this year!
@ Laila ♥ YEUROVIZJON! ♪ ♫
In Spain only voted 60.000 people because the price was very high, 1,39 euros (11.16 NOK).
Spain is once again in my top 5, my current top is:
1. Cyprus (Beautiful song)
2. Spain (The only one what sounds as it was recorded)
3. Switzerland (It's a great swiss schlager to me)
4. Denmark (In a moment like this, it's the best choice to sing)
5. Slovenia (I like the mixture of sounds in this song)

If you think people in Scandinavia live like in Alaska then youre wrong, lol.
LOL! MGP warming people up, I doubt it.
Our winters are the best!
Spain, get ready for the 2011 ESC !
@Laila,
you know very well thast Eurovision is immensely popular in the whole of Scandinavia..... The case of warming you guys up during those longggggggggggggggggggggg dark winters.....
It's good numbers for Daniel compared to the others, but I am still amazed at how low the interest is in Spain. They need a win I suppose to increase interest there. I still can't believe how in little Norway they voted close to a million times and in Spain just 60 000???
I really hope Daniel gives Spain their best result in years and years... Good luck Daniel & Spain!

Valenti, pay no mind to some of the silly remarks we got here, especially the useless speculative ones meant to stir the s**t. No vale la pena tu enojo ni el esfuerzo en contestarle.
I support Diges and his Amazing Musical Circus (in a good way, it finally got me)
GOOD LUCK!
Spain has one of the most expensive prices on SMS and special phone numbers in Europe... So, it's normal that Spanish people don't phone as many as other European can do...
25,000 out of 60,000 votes is 40% almost half, I don't need geographic or demografic lessons. The matter is how many people watch and vote, by the way the ratings went 10 % higher than last year, because the level of the candidates was higher including Coral wich did better than I expected, but Daniel was the absolute winner.
@ Fabio
It was either more people who shouted Oslo 2010
What happend?
Fabio, why don't you give us a list of what we can say and what we can't? Would be easier
Please, don't start the dreamy projections, like "Barcelona or Madrid 2011" right now. It was supossed to be Barcelona or Madrid 2010, and we all know what happened. It seems that here eveybody is suffering of amnesia...
I meant for* him
Fabio, what matters is (and I'm sure you can understand this) how many voted from him out of the people who decided to vote. That's what counts, not how many people in Spain watched the final.
25.000 votes in a country with 46 million people is almost nothing (0.054%) . If you consider that a success and 'massive support', you're in danger. With such a 'massive support' from Europe, he will sure flop. Better if you keep those figures well hidden, dear.
All the luck of the world
Saludos desde Lisboa
i LOVE this song
good luck Spain
hahha Marcelo im always looking the new comments on here, but i registered today
I saw in some social internet spanish places that ppl made events for do like stikes for the eleccion of daniel, because they wanted Coral, and the most of the comments were like "leave it ,coral could be,but we send dani and its a grea option" and things like that

But... I still love Coral as well, she was fabulous!!
Hola Zulema!
I'm really interested in the Spanish opinion. Since you seem very active and sociable, you sure will get info on how the general public got it (I mean, not only eurofans). Could you please try and become a regular on esctoday Spain-related threads and inform us? If not, you can simply email me. I never quite understood the Spanish musical taste, even being Hispanic myself
Saludos, and good luck Spain!
