OK, I'm definitely watching this, it's one of the best national finals this year!
Come on Kristina...none of the other 9 please, we have enough trash through already!
Thanks, Egon!
Next to the videos I found this one about Aisha and I really liked it: http://www.youtube.c(...)&feature=related
kristina zaharova looks like nervous but it's normal before the final show. ...and there are Michael Von Der Heide [Switzerland artist] who will performing - "Il pleut de l'or" on latvian national stage.
newest pic are here [galerija]: http://www.vipi.lv/1/4/?id_news=36786

I will, Karen.
Enjoy your martini, the Georgian NF is about to start and the live stream is perfect.
I meant leave it alone... LOL

Ohhhhhh again you compare with MF 2010!!

Let that "poor" preselection alone!!
I'm joking of course!!
But it's not that bad really!
Karen W., I have mixed feelings about Aisha's song. She seems to have a good voice and the track is professionally produced, but I am having some difficulty to relate to the concept of the song. Mind you that it is still way better than some of the songs featured in MF 2010.
No more comments needed - AISHA for Latvia!
Shevek
Hi my friend, I saw your comment about Karen few days ago!!
You don't like Aisha's song?
Thanks João for the info on Livonian. 'Rišti räšti' is also my nº1 favourite. This NF, along with the other Baltic NFs, has good stuff on offer.
Kristīne Kārkla-Puriņa - Rišti räšti (lovely, fresh and in Latvian)
Kristīna Zaharova - Snow in July (run of the mill tune that reminds me of the joy of Spring and romance, silly me)
Ivo Grisnins - Grislis - Because I love you (who said simplicity is not a plus?)
and let me add
h2o - When I close my eyes (it takes more time to warm up to this one; I like the melody and the vocals. I hope they won't disappoint me live)
@ Latvians
Aisha is the best choice, I showed her song to my friends who don't like ESC at all, and they loved her song!!
Please Latvia make right choice this year.....
Aisha FTW!!!!
here are photo gallery from Latvian national eurovision final rehearsal:

Aisha is beautiful with white dress
i hope she will win.
AISHA must win!!!!
I have reserves but Aisha is simply the best!!
2. Lauris Reiniks
3. Risti Rasti
But it seems it's set up for K. Zaharova to win!!

Her song this year is much, much worse than last year, and I really hope she won't win!!
well Latvia is used to be one of my least favourite countries in the ESC. And I've just actually liked two of their all time entries (2000 and 2005), so the other ones are just average, forgettable or annoying and terrible.
Nevertheless, Latvia has two good entries in their NF and I pray and hope that one of them will be picked. One of them is "your morning lullaby" by Lauris Reiniks, it's such a sweet ballad sung by a male voice.
But my top choice goes to Risti rasti... I just love this
This song is so different from everything that we have been seeing in the esc, it's so original, so fresh, so unique and this entry is just the prove that a good song doesn't need to be enitrely sung by a human voice. I'm just in love with this, it's so relaxing, i think it's the nice soundtrack for these winter days.
And guys let me tell you something, this song is not sung in Latvian but in Livonian (an idiom which is spoken in Northern Latvia, and this idiom is danger of extinction as they are only about 35 speakers).
So no matter what they are going to send, I just know that this year's latvian entry will not be as horrible as last year's one (like prodka, wolves of the sea, I hear your heart...)
I am impressed.
Latvia this year has one of the strongest National Finals.
I have a feeling of AISHA to win, but Trianas Parks keeps the rhythm that makes me to like them.
Good luck, LATVIA!
No Roberto Meloni this year? ;-)
Aisha or Risti rasti for me...
Kristīne Kārkla-Puriņa - Rišti räšti FTW !!! The only true Latvian song this year.
All the other contestants are bad because they sing in Englatvian (i.e. English with Latvian pronunciation or Latvian syntax = BAD ENGLISH = no authenticity).
Kristīna Zaharova & "Snow in July" to Oslo!
Latvia and Lithuana really improved this year, nicer stages, better songs and just all around better. They both have the possibility here to choose amazing songs for the year and do really well.
Good luck! May the best song win!
Paldies.
Nooo, I don't want Dons to win. :/

@ egon lacis

Yay, Trianas Parks FTW.
Your morning lullaby is a great song.
