Song chosen
Sofia to sing Shine at the Eurovision Song Contest
The winning song was chosen was a mixture of public and jury voting. Hanne Sørvaag has also co-written the Norwegian entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010, My heart is yours. She will therefore be one of the few songwriters to have two entries in the competition in the same year.
esctoday.com poll results
The esctoday.com poll voters widely agreed with the choice. Shine had finished second in the poll with 18.4%, 3.6% behind Our world.
esctoday.com national final awards 2010
The 2010 esctoday.com National Final Awards will be held between April and May, which means between the national final season and the Eurovision Song Contest. We will repeat the same format with two rounds for nominations which was used this year - you can read how it works here. However, this time the individual polls for each country will always be held right after the national final, when the entries are still fresh. You can vote for your favourite performance not to qualify in the Georgian national final here and for your favourite song not to qualify here.

I think that "Call me" is much better, but "Shine" is a good song too.
It may be my favorite :-))) Also I like of course the Armenian entry and Cyprians entry!!! Good Luck Georgia!!!!!!!

Greetings from Cyprus..
My favorite entry from Georgia so far.
Boring song, i expected more from Sophia
and Georgia too
Very pleasant and simple... could make an impact just like Ireland 2006 and Norway 2008! Would have preferred 'Our World' but 'Shine' probably has wider appeal. Well done Georgia and good luck Sofia!

PLS GIVE YOUR OPINION!
Boring. A simple ballad and that's all.
Reminds me a little of the Norwegian entry from 2001, although I thought that particular composition was a little stronger than this one. If, however, she can deliver these vocals live on stage, I think she should do well. Not bad at all.
A radio friendly power ballad. Not my favourite kind of music but it's okay. So I give 6 points for the studio version and hope that she is able to perform it live on stage with a strong and well sounding voice.

I don't like it. too oldfashioned, but nice voice, galantis . athens
Good song, I like it.
It's just ok...
It's not bad, actually.
I don't support the idea that a songwriter can enter two songs in the same year - even if she is Norwegian. So for that reason I was hoping Shine would not win the Georgian final. Now that it has, I'll congratulate Georgia for choosing an excellent singer and not one of the up-tempo songs since I believe Sofia will make more of an impact with a ballad. It's very likely this song will give Georgia a good result in Oslo, but for me it's not memorable enough to get heavy rotation. It's a little too country-pop for my taste. But good luck, Georgia.
