Russia sends The Peter Nalitch Band to Eurovision
The Russian final took place at RTR studios as a mixture of tele-voting and a professional jury selected The Peter Nalitch Band. The show hosted by Oxana Fyodorova and Dmitry Guberniev also featured last year's Eurovision winner Alexander Rybak and Dima Bilan as special guests. Originally the Russian winner in 2008 was to compete in the show but later withdrew.

esctoday.com national final awards 2010
The 2010 esctoday.com National Final Awards will be held between April and May, which means between the national final season and the Eurovision Song Contest. We will repeat the same format with two rounds for nominations which was used this year - you can read how it works here. However, this time the individual polls for each country will always be held right after the national final, when the entries are still fresh. You can vote for your favourite performance not to qualify in the Russian national final here and for your favourite song not to qualify here.
The Peter Nalitch band will be the 14th Russian representative in the Eurovision Song Contest. He will compete in the first semi-final to take place on 25th May.

Oh, I simply love it. I think it's not so bad as you say. All this bohemian looks, this intetionally bad English... all those kisses and sweet embraces. lol. i've been singing it for a couple of days already
For me, Spain remains the worst choice, so far. The guy is disgusting, the song is a terrible crap. Just don't get why people here got so excited about it...
Darf, so do I. It's not one of my favorites but I don't hate it.
Diego, are you part of Laila's stereotyping crew?
OMG, I found the best comment about this song on YT!!

LOL what happened to his voice?..
I am sure that Russia will send horrible entries like this at least until Sochi 2014 Olympics.. Because of financial issues
Just hope next year they will send something less painful
LOOOOOOOOL, perfect comment!!
I haven´t decided if i love or hate this song.
Have had some good laughs when listened for the first time
I´d radder hear it in Russian though.
Hope for a good place for Russia again, but not another win, this year.
Lost and forgotten - well it has to be said that he was the first to make the observation.
tune is beautyful!!
@Diego D
I am gay and consider myself part of the general public too!
OMG, you're taking it too seriously! That's a kind of joke, funny and a bit sad song about love, not a church song! But not so obviously a joke & kitch as Verka Serdiuchka or smth...
Ok, watch "Gitar" @youtube, may be you'll understand him more.
Why bother to send something like this to eurovision when there are many church in europe?
Gay people will not like this song since they do not understand it at all!
GOSH!!
WTF!!??
THIS IS A GOOD SONG. Nothing wrong with the comments. Gay people will not like this song since they do not understand it at all. The general public will appreciate it better.
Russia obviously couldn't afford to send something likely of winning like the Babushki or Elena... I hope the Babushki try again next year!
Russia should really have sent the Buranovskiye Babushki to Oslo. What a funny act and great song! http://www.youtube.c(...)/watch?v=Dpn5gj66E7g
boring, even worse than norway!!!
Eh.. welcome to Oslo and Norway, Peter Nalitch Band.
Must say I feel pretty sure we won't see a ESC Moscow 2011..
This song is heinous - there is no two ways about it lol will prob get to final but it is just awful and his voice sounds horrible - really flat the whole way through... awful Russia!
Thx russia for sending this shit - a joke song for ESC.
First i thought my cp'r was not working but it should sound wired :-((
I think it is the worst song this year in ESC
Sorry Rusia
@Marcelo
oh you managed to convey my thoughts/opinion perfectly (why can't I do that?!) I think I am you from a previous life, although you are still alive , so that can't be right...ok maybe like Gwyneth Paltrow in "Sliding doors"!, your explanation on the English language was interesting too..but I think it's a split (and you see it here clearly with comments) between native/non-native English speakers who can judge the "nuances" (I like that word!) of the language, something, for example, I find hard to do in Catalan, even though I speak it perfectly well..but it's the way I learnt it..I speak it too informally for reporting I think?! and yes my comment on Russian singer was quite diplomatic but the conclusion is that it has absolutely no effect on me whatsoever, as you say, it's only as an ESC fan that I would ever hear that type of song..pablito (how did you know they call me that?!!)
@ Zagreb Calling
I totally agree with you!
This is from a country that upgraded the contest the last years?
MY EARS ARE BLEEDING!
is he serious? what was that all about?
This song verges on genius.
I fear it is going to do a lot better than many seem to be predicting....
NO CLASS
last thing we need is a scientology church song,
strange song , i kinda like it though . I do wish the lead singer wasnt so self indulgent when hitting notes he thinks are good. my advice to him would be to feel the lyrics and not act them out with his forehead such an amateur thing to do
Luis
I dunno, I watched many telenovelas!!

make that list!
Karen, which novela?
Favorite...mmm too hard to narrow it down, but let's just say that many countries that have never won before are impressing me a lot more than the ones that have.
(I should really make a list on my profile
)
