Minn hinsti dans was just too good for its time. The world and eurovision were just not ready for it 1997. Paul Oscar: luscious, gorgeous and rebellish. GREAT!!
My all time favourite Eurovision entry and it still sounds fresh more than 10 years later! Thnx Paul Oscar & Happy Birthday!
GOSH that was so cheap even for me, hate it!!!
¡Feliz cumpleaños!
Best Icelandic entry ever! So modern, innovative, different, mysterious in a way. Highly creative and credible.
But also the WORST performance ever (asise from 20006 maybe). So effiminate, so tacky, so "gay" (sorry!), just repulsive....!
Have a couple of his CDs. Good ones! But more retro, more cover verisons of old tunes etc.
But happy birthday!
Happy Birthday
and Good Luck with your career moves
@Laila - wow - why dont any of your comments surprise me - you are so predictable ....
"Minn Hinsti Dans" was a great entry! The televoting results awarded it with points - the juries didnt! Iceland has always been one of the frontcountries when it comes to the modern entries and "Minn Hinsti Dans" is no exception
My favourite Icelandic entry ever. *off to myspace*
Downloads? Who wants downloads....we want to have the real CDs with lyrics and photos and everything!!
One of the worst entries/songs in ESC history. Anyway, happy birthday! I am not going to MySpace, lol.
One of the most underrated entries in the history of esc... it was maybe too modern for that year. But I loved the song and his performance was simply amazing
@ Alex Kearns
hehehe
Well, I'd rather not express my opinion for our entry, but once again, Greece chose a "safe" entry for Oslo. I would like us to be more dareful. OK, we will send a song in greek after...pffff 12 years, with a traditional rythm, but I would be more happy if we had chosen Yiorgos Karadimos, or Melisses for Oslo!
Thanks for your support! And hope see you all next year in Tel Aviv!!! hahaha!
Thank you Johan Roms
Jon,
actually I watched it last sunday... like you said, really really good. The voting etc... there you could already see the first signs of how televoting would turn out..... Although Turkey had an extremely good song (Dinle), you can see that in all the diaspora countries like Switserland etc.... Turkey all at once started to get extremely high votes...
I love his song in 1997! My 4th favorite Eurovision entry ever!!!!
His song in eurovision 1997 was soooo crazy good - I just love it!!
any way, eurovision 1997 - was one of the best EVER!!!!
I'm often watching it! hehe
PS: after 2003 eurovision become a big CIRCUS!!! before was much much better in every espect!
@Cst
my friend, really weird to say this but I really do like the gReek entry this year... I believe you guys will do really well once again.... my Greek husband doesn't like it but I love the rythm.... and it's the onl;y really upbeat song.... If there would be 100 % televoting, I would say a winner , now I think a top 7.... My favorite is Belgium and I believe (hope) for a huge result for Germany
In 1997, he got most of his points from the televoting countries - who would've known what would have happened if there had been televoting as we know it today! lol
@ w s
I like your "Crystal balls" mate!
love from Athens!
Graham, you can buy Icelandic CDs at www.nammi.is .
song was ok... performance was great
I liked Minn hinsti dans, One of my favourites from 1997.
I don't think his song in 1997 was that great. Memorable yes.
My 12 pointer for 1997
one of the greatest artists EVER performed in ESC
and one of the most unfair result either
if it was in televoting era, it would have been much much better!!!
One of his best songs is Alt Fyyrir Astina, or sth like that.
I adore...
Does anyone know where I can buy Icelandic cds. The items on Tonlist are downloads only. I don't think Skiven.is post to UK.
Thanks
