First 6 countries confirmed!
The Netherlands: Eurovision in Concert - April 24
All delegations will be welcomed at the Zaans Museum by the mayor of Zaandam, Miss Géke Faber. Right after, all participating artists will be offered a guided tour through Zaanse Schans, a neighbourhood of Zaandam, which has a collection of well-preserved historic windmills and houses. Therefore Zaanse Schans is one of the most popular touristic attractions of the region. Both national and international press are welcome to join this official programme.
Later that night, the concert will take place at Lexion, one of the most modern party venues in the area of Zaanstad and located in one of its municipals, Westzaan. Lexion can host up to 1,500 fans. Fans will be able to make use of special shuttle buses to be brought back from the venue to Amsterdam after the show. The concert will be hosted by the 1987 Dutch representative Marga Bult and the Dutch commentator at the Eurovision Song Contest, Cornald Maas.
The following 6 countries have already confirmed their participation:

Awww, Slovenia and Netherlands aresuch happy songs.
Please, let's not turn this into a political historical debate.
As for Kenan's question, I have no idea.
@khacatur
concerning which genocide has you? It has you concerning the genocide which the armenian people to azeri people have committed?
@w s
But do u think Armenia wouldn't take part if the anniversary of the ''Armenian Genocide'' would be on an 'ESC-Final-Night'? Armenia and Netherlands ren't comparable when it comes to Eurovision!
The Netherlands didn't take part in 1985 and 1991 due to the contest being held on May the 4th, our national remembrance day. In fact, due to the withdrawl in 1991 Malta could join the contest after a few years of not taking part.
Axel Kearns
really ?
i didn't know about that...
i think is shalalie gets enough airplay before the contest, then it will qualify...but if people have only heard it once it may be in danger, as on first hearing it sounds terrible
@I Love you...
That's what I said my friend.... Respect. You know the Netherlands even did not participate a few times because of the same reason.
Axel Kearns
you cannot party and have fun on the day of comemoration of 1.5milons Armenians killed in 1915...
ofcourse its nice , that they organise a promo concert but as we all know - it doesent have ANY effect on the voting in May.
W S ,
The Dutch entry is very very oldfashioned BUT it's together with Greece, the only song that makes you wanna dance, it just makes you smile.... A few weeks ago, I was in Dublin for the Eurobash. THey played lots of songs of this year's contest and the reactions were just ok... but then they played Shalalie and the audience went very lively... they all seem to like it... so you never know... think positive mate....
Israel should go also ;p !
they went ther ein 2008 i think !
I don't dare to predict what the Dutch song will do. According to the betting odds, Sieneke is the least likely to qualify. But this is a typical example of so bad it is actually good. If she can get the public to sing along, maybe there is a chance. But on the other hand, I wouldn't be surprised (or disappointed) if she got no points at all.
I quite like Sieneke, but you ppl who write that she will qualify, hmmmmmmm, it's not that easy lol
! if Edsilia Rombley
didn't qualify for final.. I dunno
Jury must support Sieneke's song a lot if she wanna qualify........
@I love you,
would be understandable....
i think that Armenia will not participate because is the day of the memory of Armenian Genocide 24 April 1915...
@WS,
absolutely correct my friend..... Heineken taste like dishwater.... but he that's the only negative thing.. for the rest I love The Netherlands, the people, the cheese.... the gay bars... the everything really... I even like the Dutch entry this year... shalalie shalala.... you go sweetheart. If I come I will stay in the Krasnapolsky in the center, great hotels .... maybe good idea for the guys who are planning a weekend over there...
Hi everyone. I'm sure that Armenia will not participate to this concert cause April 24 is the day of the Memory of Armenian Genocide...
awwww i wish i could be there
Have to find out again what the age limit is for this venue.. I'm 16 now, so some doors open for me already but.. *grrrr*
Thank God it's a new tradition otherwise I'd have felt very very very very very.. *BEEP*
OMG TURKEY, FINLAND AND CYPRUS ALREADY AAAARGH!
Hope Romania will confirm too!
Manga will be the best from them they woll rock the stage...
Axel Kearns, are you implying dutch beer is crap. How very dare you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hope Josh from the UK does at least SOME promotion this year
!
I was there last year, and we will go this year too. I am glad this will be a new tradition. Only hope the venue will be bigger. Marcanti was a bit too small.
I remember last year, we had about 6 artists over here in London while the Netherlands had about 20-25... so I know where to go this year. A'dam here we come.... bring on the jeniever and crap beer and lots of cheese... shalalie shalala... btw love that song more and more... watch out as it stands out in a sea of boring ballads.
go turkey&the netherlands
