Algo pequeñito
Spanish preview video released
The official preview videoclip of Algo pequeñito was filmed last weekend in Madrid at the Prado del Rey TVE premises and at the Carrampa Circus School. After 3 days of filming, the Spanish representative Daniel Diges and TVE were happy and satisfied with the outcome. Daniel appears as a circus master in the video, while the story behind the preview depicts a magical circus love story. The video has been filmed in high definition and more than 45 people have partaken in the video.
The Spanish videoclip has been directed by Santiago Tabernero. Yuri Olmechenko, Margalida Riera, Arnaldo Iasorli and África Martínez are the dancers that appear with Daniel in the preview videoclip. Susi Reis y Roberto Gasca also feature in the video as the trapeze artists couple. Maite Marcos has been responsible for the choreography, while Carlo Pignatelli has been resposible for Daniel's costumes.
What is the story? On a very cold winter morning, Daniel appears dressed as a circus master singing Algo pequeñito in an old abandoned circus. Suddenly a couple of acrobatic trapeze artists magically get inspired to peform and the whole circus lits up and comes to life with a dancer, a doll, a soldier and a Pierrot clown dancing and doing their bit.

I have to admit I absolutely love this song and also the fact that Daniel is such a wonderful singer who delivers the song to perfection..... most definitely one of my top 5 songs this year. Well done Spain..... excellent choice

At the very beggining the reporter wishes him a Happy Father's Day which was yesterday here in Spain. He says that Galileo, his son, is somewhere over there behind the cameras and he goes into detail about what Galileo0s got him for that, some craf he made at the kindergarte (he says it's his first Father's day present).
Right after he explains he's so proud of his first musical video. He tells the story shown on the video: a couple of trapeze artists whose relationship is falling apart and she asks him to give her "ALGO PEQUEÑITO" to show that their love is still alive. Daniel says he's the teller of the story, in the middle of them two.
Then he moves on to talking about some sites placing him as a hot favorite to win ESC 2010. He says he doesn't believe it, because sometimes there are many countries which are expected to rank very high and then they feel let down with the final result. He's not taking into account those web sites.
Next, he lets the reporter know that he's just after taking part in a charity football match so as to make money for a girl who needs taking an operation.
Finally, he says goodbye when someone calls him and he picks up the phone. Of course, he's got the ALGO PEQUEÑITO ringtone...

I agree that 2010 isn't as bad as everyone says. I have a top 10 I'm very happy with and a few other songs that I like and had no points left to give to.
I think that people just like complaining
Seamus - I agree with you on that clown/harlekin. And the girl/doll with golden hair. Besides that - the rest is good. And it is definitely my number one this year.
Lots of people are complaining about what a bad year this is. Well, in my opinion 2009 was definitely better (best year in ages) - but 2010 not at all that bad. I have no problems defending my top 10! Quite satisfied with it. And in May we will always have the semifinals to get rid of some of the songs.
I really like the song, it has retro feel to it, but that's not a bad thing, It deserves to be in the top 5. Though I like the video, I'm not a fan of the circus imagery, (clowns give me the creeps). I hope the stage act won't detract from what I think is a potential winner.

I am very satisfied with the video and TVE paid attention to what I said - there was a very thin line between childhish and magic.
And this video is quite magical. I love the BW effect at the begining. It ends up spectacular.
Spain might end up in the bottom 3 again, but it's importnat to know that it's a quality product.
I like Daniel. He is a good performer.
