Butterflies, the new entry
Belarus change entry for Oslo
The Belarussian representatives decided to go for another song and will sing the Butterflies instead of Far away, the original Belarussian entry for the contest. The song was written by Russian producer Max Fadeev who also was reported to create the script for the clip shot in Moscow.
Fadeev is a successful producer at the Russian broadcaster Channel One and he owns Monolit Records, the record company where the new song Butterflies is strongly believed to be recorded in. The Russian writer was also behind the girl group Serebro that placed third in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007.
The band Three Plus Two is made up of Artyom Mihalenko, Elgiazar Farashyan, Yulia Shisko with backing vocalists Alyona and Ninel Karpovich. Belarus will compete in the first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest with the aim of making it to the final for the second time in their Eurovision history.

Changing song was no improvement at all, wrong choice Belarus.
Seriously, changing the song after Far Away was voted as the song? Not cool. At least Ukraine had another selection. This makes me upset. I don't care for the song, Far Away wasn't a winner but I enjoyed it a bit more. But it still makes me mad. The band isn't what's voted for, it's the song. Not fair Belarus... not fair!
Far away had much more potential than this. And I usually like Max Fadeev's songs.

Some background on "Butterflies" for you. This song has been written by multi billionaire XFactor boss Max fadeev. He is one
of the most powerful song writers and producers in Russia today. He was also a jury member in this year's Russian final.
There is nothing Belarussian about him. Russian and German stylists will work on the imaging on the band 3+2. In addition to this they intend to add a pianist on stage. In short they are doing everything possible to win this contest for Belarus. That means someone is paying a lot of money to Mr Fadeev and friends? I wonder who?

This is worse than Far away which means disaster because Far away wasn't very good to begin with.

AND I don't find it Ok to change the song !It' s unfair! I think you should be be careful at the first national final! Changing the song according to the other enteries is unfair!
Yeey, another boring ballad. We'll fall asleep during the 2nd semi!!! With Far away they could have had a chance, but with a ballad, no... (no ballad this year stands the success of "Is it true" last year)...

@Molly, yes jurys vote also in semifinals this year but televoting have more power than jurys voting. For example if Spanish Televoting give 12 points to Romania and spanish jury zero points to Romania the final result from Spain would be 8 points , and you know 8 points is huge number . Dont forget that even 1 point sometimes is enough for some countries to be in the final. Also dont wait jurys to be equals, last year a lot of trush songs got points from jurys , slowly slowly we are going to see secret jurys lobbys around europe, dont forget that money can do everything But ok 50/50 voting is better than only televoting @Marko what is your oppinion about Serbian singer hair cut and dress and also Azerbaijan singer dress ? I didnt saw you to say anything about that, only you speak about other countries singers dresses and they r general images . Slovakia song is far better from all that trush' who you like ....LOL

Are you sure this song was not written by SIEGEL? Sounds like a revamped version of "If We All Give A Little". I don't like it, it's boring and tacky. "Far Away" was a lot more alive, do we need just another ballad?

You are right, there is ESC world and the real world and maybe we should just stick to that..but that doesn't stop me from taking my principles into account..anyway that's another debate for another day, time to say goodnight again!
