Reactions from France and abroad
France: Song released in full
This came as a surprise for French fans, who were left unconvinced when the name of the performer was revealed, a few weeks ago. Eurofans' reactions in France are still mixed, but many of them feel that, although not their cup of tea, the song will for sure be singled out due to the presence of so many ballads and no other up-tempo entries in that style.
Still, a good number of fans now hope the performance and routine will be perfect. Today's national daily Aujourd'hui / Le Parisien has half a page on the French choice (as well as a headline on its cover), under the title 'Jessy, France's festive joker.' Nicolas Pernikoff, France Télévisions' entertainment manager, says, "With his own style, he will bring cheerfulness to Eurovision." Journalist Carine Didier explains that, since yesterday's revelation, the song receives good feedback from abroad and kind of calms down the French fans. The same article gives an important piece of news for French people as the name of the commentators for the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 are Cyril Hanouna and Stéphane Bern.
Note that the French video which will be given to the EBU this Monday during the HOD meeting in Oslo is not the official one, as it will be shot in April.
France will take participate in the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 on May 29th as it is part of the 'Big 4' nations (France, Spain, Germany and United Kingdom).

A great song and one of the best this year!
I like it very much, France you have a chance to get to top10 in the final, good luck from Lithuania!
AMAZING tune, definetely will vote it in May!

The only song we can dance in 2010 ESC!
catchy tune!! but whatis the title?
something different... good choice France!
What a disapointment..... and be sure that if France has a draw at the end in the final, and all the people being pissed watching the festival will vote vote for this ..... I really do not like it. After France was my favorite last year, they are my number 35 this year... sorry but I hate Ole ole... and other sort of football songs...
This song is even worse than I expected
My explanation in 1 Sentence after listening to it 3 minutes long;
" This song is crap "
So sorry
Well....I might be starnge but I realy like this one! It resflects a music taste that goes very well in France in the past few years...plus it's happy, catchy and offers space for a nice show on stage! What do we need more? There are too many ballads (and not so powerfull...) so something up-tempo is very welcome!
Of course it has nothing to do with last year's superb Patricia Kaas...but it's a nice effort for me!
Good luck France!!!
@Nolan
Yep, this can be the dark horse of 2010
@Anthony Kharouni
with all my respect to Jessy, he isn't Sirusho
and he won't be even under a heavy and serious nip/tucking
don't compare uncomparable
in case you forgot ... in 2008, her lyrics were criticized fiercly, but it didn't stop her from climbing to Top 4
I'm sure Jessy will do fine with this light dancefloor hit
@Julius Reymon
Do you really beleive that skin color matters in ESC
It seems that I am one of the few who like the song!!Well done France, I like this more than last year's!!Hope you'll be on TOP just as I hope for my MALTA!!
Good luck from MALTA
I can see it winning the whole thing and everybody dancing along !
VERY GOOD ! The only one this year
Wonderful song. First time in years that we listen to something really good from France.
Hope it goes in the top 10 in the final. It's surely got my support.
@JULIUS Reymon
Only a racist (or a black person with a major attitude problem) could come up with that..
We at ESC today are not racist. and I can speak on behalf of every member here. But Jessy has an AWFUL song. White or black he still will be near the bottom of the ESC score table and It's one of my least favourite songs.
Hmm. What about Sweden in 2002?
3 black women and I adored their song.
France 2010. No NO NO why? because its an awful song. Its like a bad version of "Dj take me away" with worse lyrics and repeating the same thing over and over again :/
Bleah!
0 points France. Is this REALY what we get after the amazing song/performence in 2009. Its a disgrace
I like it, nice and upbeat!
Aaaah, i like this sort of music...
You wouldn't see this in eurovision every day,
Unusual for eurovision, but very catcty
I hope it does very well.
good luck france
Although it's one of France's better entries, still it's basicly three minutes of nothing new.
I heared so meny songs like this one... (I am not thet big-a-fan of the original, Ricky Martin, either).
Franch musitians are capable of producing so much better then that!!
When Armenia sing Qele, qele, everybody like it. When France sing Allez, Allez, everybody find this "awful".
Find the mistake.
The fact is that the singer is black this the mistake ! And that just bother many people in Europe even in France. Either you sing "Mobutu, Mobutu, I Love You Are My King Hoo Hoo" or "Kinsasha I Want You To Sleep Tonight", there will be no problem unless you are white ! Cos ESC is "White Power ! Put the shirt on ! Olé !

here's a recap of all songs (it is my scoreboard as well
)
Nice and uptempo. First time I have liked a French entry in a very long time. Last Year was nice but very mundane!
Fantastic entry! Well Done France
Best of Luck

I dont like it... borin... awful
This is all right. Nothing spectacular. It's the sort of music which I presume must be very popular in France because every time I buy a CD collection of French hits there's always one or two or three songs like this on it. I've usually never heard them and I usually skip them (or don't rip them), but since they're there I assume there must be a market for such songs in France. For me though, not in my Top 10 but on my top half nevertheless. I'd be delighted if France could get another Top 10 result on the night.
Good choice for France! THis could well be a Top 5!
I am happy with France, totally different as Patricia Kaas but also nice. Bonne chance La France!
Since 2008 I only vote for my neighbours. Last year I voted Portugal. This year is the turn to give my vote to France. CONGRATULATIONS.
You'll say why? Because if u r western, you have to vote your neighbours... to be all in the same conditions.
