Opa to the final

The Giorgios Alkaios interview

One day after qualifying for the final of the Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo, esctoday.com meet with a very happy Giorgios Alkaios, the Greek singer in this year's contest.

Giorgios spoke of his  delight at qualifying for the final, how proud he feels about having the first Greek language song for his country in contest for 12 years and why we should look for a special surprise they are keeping for the final.

Just to make clear: I said so many awful things about the Greek song during the last weeks and I definatly mean it.
I didn´t meant to hurt the lovely people from Greece and their beautiful country and if it wins, it´s of course ... ok. It is jaust a matter of personal taste. We´ll have greek food this evening, may that be a good sign.

Greetings to Greece from LENA-City!
All the best to everyone - still thinking of Sweden ...

... Europe, celebrate in fair play!

Turquoise dream

(cont'd)

... I enjoyed the great LIVE! performances
of the SONGS representing Georgia (L) (=SF2 winner),
Turkey :), Cyprus :) and Romania :) from the SF2.

Ireland :), too, but Niamh ... did not even try to reach that final high note
(which disappointed me!) because her overall performance
was very
good as well as the song and deserved to go through.

After watching BOTH, I thought Semifinal 2 was weaker than SF1, believe or not.

Well Greece was lucky to be chosen for 1st SF, their chances to qualify would be weak if they were at the 2nd!
I hope they will have well deserved rank by placing between 20th-25th

good luck
