The Irish have taste
"It's for you" have been underrated.. while other song undeservedly pulled in the top five!
old news!! it's amazing how the French entry is doing on charts. Should've been top 10 at least.
this is brilliant maybe eurovision in ireland will regain it's credibility
intersting to se what the big sellers are...i see france are doing so much better than expected they got my vote on the night along with Denmarkk Azerbaijan and Russia
@ ukfan davies
Thanks for your input.
Ireland can win, when RTÉ actually wants to.
And by the way, Ireland has an "e".
@ukfan davies
WTF?
irland cant win now
Kenan he dont have to like Lena or the song, thats ok, BUT he puts in doubt if her win is real, true or "legal" and thats even wors and i cannot accept that kind of behaviour without saying something.
@CC X.
That's your opinion, and I have to respect that of course, but still, if my country would come 1st then I would be really happy and would not even mind, how bad the song and singer was!
@KeNaN the noble Prince ♥'es his AnGeLiC
at best an average song performed by a horrible "singer" (in my opinion)
@CC X.
You are really strange! YOUR country has won, so why are you sad about that ( or don't see it as deserved? )?
@ CC
Plz stop posting comments, cuz i cant stop laughing and jumping around. lol
The fact that you asked "WHERE ARE THE RESULTS OF EUROVISION 2010????" in a thread ABOUT LENA is just a coincidence right? You do not want to question Lenas place but the one of Ukraine or Israel right?
Its lovely to see how much you care about the results of all participants, because its rly important if someone ends up being placed at 13 and not 15. That sympathy makes you a good person, but just for people who believe in the shit you are writing here. Ridiculous!
Its so sad that people like you cannot admit that they were wrong. Next time just say something like: "congratulations Lena you did a good job. Personally i dont like you or the song and i wasnt expecting you to win but i respect the results and all the europeans who voted for you and wish you goodl luck for the future."
That would be the reaction of a great personality and we would not have a discussion here, but it seems you dont got that great personality. Therefore im not sad if you are leaving now. Tschüss mein Kleiner.
No. 39 - France - Allez Ola Ole sung by Jesse Matador
I agree with this, and ofcourse drip drop should be with this one at number 39
@ Andrea Butler,
You're right Andrea, from a quality point of view it was a musical disaster. Satellite, may have entered the Irish charts at no.2, but almost 2 week after winning, I have yet to hear it being played on any Irish radio station and to be honest I don't expect to hear it. In the last 10 years ESC winners have received almost no radio exposure here. If people think that a song with bloody awful lyrics sung by an emo "lite" with a fake accent is actually good well there is no hope for them. Someone once said that the only thing worse than bad taste is no taste!
Flame me all you like but ESC 2010 was a musical disaster.
Thanks for that. Please return next year and tell us again, just like you have for the last 55 years. If not you, I'm sure someone will. Someone always does, it never fails!
regarding to proven facts so far (sells, published jury or split results) I strongly believe she won the televoting, mayhap even with more points than in weird "50/50"-addition.
moreover the winner's position isn't all: any given points and resulting positions are important, even a lot of people paid money for voting.
concerning mak ut's verbal attacks I'd add that I never made an personally assault upon on someone. however, the circumstance HE DO is quite indicative that he is just 'bout trolling and provocating other people respectively he hasn't arguments with regard to contents no more. that's why it seems better to me to end the discussion with him. but... a final comment to him:
sowohl der esc an sich und einzelne platzierungen, einschließlich der siege, innerhalb diesem als auch das schickal lena meyer-landruts als person bzw. künstlerin sind so ziemlich relativ weit davon entfernt, ein "verlust für meine persönlichkeit" darstellen zu können. obwohl ich ein großer fan bin, habe ich für derlei doch andere prioritäten. und diese würde ich dir guten willens auch anraten.
Lol Andrea I repectfully disagree
I actually think the past two or three years have been the best for improving the credibility of the contest with many songs now reflecting what you might get in the music charts - thats good in my book!
Hmm - well although I picked Lena before the contest to win - I have to say that I didn't think she was very good on the night.
Sorry, but if Satellite is the best that ESC can do these days, then the contest really is past its sell by date.
Flame me all you like but ESC 2010 was a musical disaster.
@ CC
sry but u dont get it, im not laughing just because ur prediction was wrong. The problem is the way guys like you predicted her failure, it was insulting, arrogant, destructive and never fair towards her and the people who supported and loved her.
And by asking "WHERE ARE THE RESULTS OF EUROVISION 2010???? " you still wanna question her victory. That makes you a troll and a bad loser because her victory is a big lose for you personally and for all the other haters and that behaviour makes me smile. You got it now?
LENA WON and you wont change that Looser.
Sorry but to be fair here... even if Satellite didn't score the highest in the televote surely its success in the charts across Europe could show that it was indeed the deserved winner.
Considering that the televote is so prone to diaspora/neighbourly voting etc, the fact that Lena's song is proving popular after the contest more so than any other song validates her win even more.
okay, if it make ya "smile and jump around" an unbeknown internet user predicted eurovision's winning song wrong... funny and nice for you; neither I haven't been the onliest nor will I be the last. sure, next year there again will be thousands and millions predicting wrong. mean ya won't stop jumping until the rest of ya life.
nevertheless - as an esc-fan - it's absolutely not stupid to be interested in audience's voting (that's what I'm asking for).
@ CC,
Im not angry at all. Lena won, ESC 2011 is in Germany and guys like you, who predicted her failure, are all gone now or if they are still around than they write stupid things like "WHERE ARE THE RESULTS OF EUROVISION 2010????"
Muhaha that makes me smile and jump around. I say it again, just get over it, Lena won and you were dead wrong.
@ mak ut:
well, yes. considering MY subjective taste of music I took her last in a "final" in that all my favourites from the semi-finals got in. I've completed this scoreboard before the first semi-final so I couldn't know the real qualifiers. due to the fact some of my "hate songs" passed through, I haven't ranked satellite last or even bottom-3 in the definitive field of saturday.
I predicted her to chart between 8 and 15 so I was wrong, but concerning me I see no problem in it. Of course it's always great if the real results are close to your own wishes or at least predicts (I guess that applies to most people), though I'm happy to be capable to accept other men's opinion; thence it don't make me "angry" in any way. nevertheless, in the light of your aggressive statements against me it seems to me ya a bit "angry" owing to my postings.
last not least I don't have anything to hide so I'm gonna use this name (or an alike one by virtue of technical reasons) in all forums about eurovision. => easier for me and for ya. ;-)
well Tom still scores well around europe
!!
I can say that this must be the most succesful belgian entry in many many years (if not ever !) !
I knew it.by the time he was chosen and when nobody believed in him I knew he can do it ! so proud of him !
let's see what 2011 has for Belgium..
@ CC L.,
rofl just take a look at ur own "my ranking" list of 2010. Maybe you didn´t predicted her to come last but between 20-25 and you wanted her to come last, thats for sure. It didnt happen and now you are angry and that makes me happy.
To say it with the words of Lena. "This is absolutely amazing!" HAHAHA OWNED!
Btw i know you from eurovision.de, maybe it isnt the smartest thing to use the same name.
@Andre Ja:
thank you for this posting but I guess these were the (known) results with jury influence.
@mak ut:
where did I predict lena meyer-landrut to come last? where did ya get this "informations" about me? I think they're quite interesting.
even they are wrong of course. eh, and it don't hurt me, so ya can sleep well.
