Eurovision gets the credit
Mira Awad signed at Sony Records
Mira Awad is expected soon to move to Spain, in order to start working with her new record label Sony Records. According to the new contract, Sony Records is obligated to produce and distribute three international albums by Mira Awad. In these future albums, which the first one will be released during 2011, Awad will sing in English and Spanish. "It is definitely a peak in my career. A contract in such a major record label is an achievement", says Awad to Walla.co.il.
Mira Awad does not forget to thank her close friend and duo partner Noa. "She was the one who gave me the opportunity for to breakthrough". Awad also gives credit to the Eurovision Song Contest, in which she and Noa represented Israel, back in 2009. "The contest was a wonderful platform to perform with our music. This is a perfect example of how the Eurovision Song Contest can open doors for you, even if you don't win it".
Mira Awad and Noa sang "There must be another way", for Israel in Moscow 2009 and reached the 16th place in the final.

I really like her.
Her solo album is quite magical and her voice simply divine. She's very talented and deserves great success.

I loved this song immediately as it was announced to be the Israeli representative, but then later they changed it to this version (with tin drums) and unfortunately on the stage the two beautiful voices seemed to lose harmony and the result was very unsatisfactory

Yes, there was a legal dispute some time ago, and now everything even remotely connected to Sony Music is blocked here.
I am happy to read this, luckily that some producers discovered her!! Noa was wellknown already when competing the ESC, so this was the time for her too..
I liked their duet, their 16th was underrated imo..
I wish best of luck in her career and look forward to hear some wonderfull songs in the future.

Noa is well known in Spain, this for sure is going to help Mira music launch in Spain.
Damn! If she is with sony now, I won't be allowed to watch any YT clips of her here in Germany. Still, great for her career. Good luck!
