@Rune www.escnorge.net
In MGP, all participants are Norwegians, so the public chooses the best 1, but Ovi's being from Norway + popular there had definitely an impact on the voters ( both televoters & juries ) as 'Tohoshinki' also agreed with me!
@ Kenan
How can you say that the Norwegians only voted on Ovi because he is Norwegian, when he has done quite bad the 2 times he participated in MGP? I'm just asking
@CC X.
I totally agree, well said!
And your comment should go to all, who blames Eastern-Europeans/certain blocks for voting for their neighbour country! I don't say it because I'm an Eastern-European myself, but the best performances/shows and songs came from Eastern-Europe, that's a fact!
@axel kearn?
oO I'm shocked.
thank god the eastern european and asian countries entered the contest. they were the ones, mayhap along with scandinavia, requickening the competition and giving all power and quality back it lost within 20 years before. authentic, demanding acts from the balkans and asia... professional, modern big shows from the ex-sovjet-countries... without them eurovision may be dead now. until two years ago, all regions were voting for them. because the rest was almost shit.
haha, juries were so stupid always voting ireland and the united kingdom on the top just for singing english
and now again, they do the same, just voting for low-level english (wannabe-)mainstreamsongs.
100% TELEVOTING BACK!!!!
Axel
And believe me, as you will say "my mate" ESC will become garbage with or without Russia, Ukraine, Serbia, B&H and co...
Axel
hahahahahaha, you are pathetic as hell!

I have never attacked you and will never do that, just to remind you!

And that you write is maybe true, how do you know maybe I wrote exactly coz of that "I can't wait my country to withdraw.."
@Marko,
You wrote "ESC became garbage and we all know that ! I can't wait my country to withdraw..."
Can I just remind you my friend that all the crap started when all the new countries started to appear, Yuguslavia changed into 5 differnt states, Russia fell apart into nore than 7 different states and all those states started to give each others aal top marks... So if there is someone to blame for the disaster is all the political, diaspora voting and you guy are to blame in the first place. So all very well that you try to convince people over here that certain connections between countries (Swedish composers etc...) are to blame... we all know that the big blame is neighbourvoting, diaspora and political voting !
Or was the Russian song really that good that it deserved 11th place with 90% of it's votes coming from neighbours ????
And I know you will attack me once again now, but if you're honest you know this is the truth.
Well maybe just the jury. Grannies come back.
Toho they REALLY didn't want to win again so soon.
@ Kenan
Yes I think so too
Ovi is known here so it defintely made some impacts.
@ Marko
Yes, I hope especially Russia will tighten up themselves a bit. If Peter Nalitch didn't win, another horror would be in Oslo - do you remember that man who supposedly sang pop opera? lmao that was even worse than Peter Nalitch
http://www.youtube.c(...)/watch?v=UxXSP-_CfNY
hahaha, pure horror
@Tohoshinki ★
Exactly! And Ovi's being from Norway had definitely an effect on the Norwegian televoters + juries!
I don't understand how someone can vote on that terrible song from Greece! OPA
Oops sorry I forgot Poland! But after this year I'm a it disappointed in that country and nobody good wanna participate for Poland any more!
Maybe if Azerbaijan buy Nicki Minaj for ESC! ROFLROFLROFL!

But it seems they won't buy in ESC any more, so...nothing!
Yes Tohoshinki that's right!

Thanks for those infos and infos about viewing figures!
I hope for great Norsk MGP, dansk MGP, MF and Russian national final (I hope another channel will be next year for Russia) and that's all, other stuffs in ESC don't interest me any more!
@ Marko
But nevertheless I think those songs did well because they were appealing
Wether they were bad or good is discussable, but it seems these songs were liked
Azerbaijan --> Swedish composers
Denmark --> Swedish composer
Romania --> Norwegian singer and composer (Simen Eriksrud & Ovi)
+ Georgia with Norwegian composer, but I don't remember how well it did with Scandinavian voters
You see "clever" Axel!
It's not millions viewers as yoy said, but stupid connections with songs!
hahahahah,, what a nice voting and nice ESC!
ESC became garbage and we all know that!
I can't wait my country to withdraw! Anyway it didn't show much till now, so please withdraw!
Well Knut maybe, I dunno!

That's my style!
It annoys you I know!
But behind that truth always hide! Remember that!

And children, what is better than being child!
Actually i'm not child, just like Nicki Minaj what is even better! It's the bestest!
Coz....
I'm So Pretty Like,
Me On My Pedal Bike,
Me On My Low Starch,
Me In My Echo Whites
Wooooohooooo!!
Marko - you dont annoy me... its just that you have arguments in most discussions like a 8 year old...
;-)
@ Marko
About the Scandinavian juries giving many points to Romania this year: I don't think they did so to make a 'balance' between the given pts to Eastern and Western songs. The Romanian song, along with songs from Azerbaijan, Germany and Denmark was a very typical pop song that is liked by many Scandinavians
Not to mention the Scandinavian connections of those songs except Germany (but quirky pop is liked here so Germany didn't need any connections..)
Azerbaijan --> Swedish composers
Denmark --> Swedish composer
Romania --> Norwegian singer and composer (Simen Eriksrud & Ovi)
+ Georgia with Norwegian composer, but I don't remember how well it did with Scandinavian voters
Axel
I don't need to learn anything from you! LOL

But you are right, all those lyrics are quite horrible!
Yes we know that almost all songs in ESC are shite so no surprise!
Axel Kearns
For your information one of the lyrics you have mentioned were even blamed to be politic /they were not/
So I'd not tell that meaning of the song was so clear
What about Romanian entry
That was greatst surprise of mine, as in general that song was admired by the majority I have been talking with in Armenia after ESC /so did I/ and I was surprised to see that Romania took just 1 point from here /hope to see who is responsable of such low point/ and I wonder why we gave much higher point to Denmark's bit plagiatic song
I think Romania diserved that much more /and the vocal, and music etc/!! I thing that the fact that Nevergreen hsa had done career in Russia for couple of years influanced our choice /Russian music chanels are aired here/.
Romanian entry this year didn't do it or me . It was not bad , just very dated and heard million times in the past . I'm surprised it ended up 3rd . Vocals , especially female one were very good but the song as I said simply boring and outdated.
hum irelande douze pointes
@axel keans
"Marko you have to learn the difference between your taste and the taste of millions of viewers.. It's not because you don't like something, that others can not like it and defenitely not judge others for their taste.... "
exellent statement! romania was put 10th by the people in the uk and even 6th overall. neither more nor less.
Let's have a look at some other lyrics this year :
Serbia :"Balkan, Balkan, Balkan, this is Balkan, come on...Hop hop hop, this is Balkan, hop hop hop...."
Armenia "Many, many years ago, when I was a little child. Mamma told me you should know our world is cruel andwild,..."
Germany : " I went everywhere for you, I even did my hair for you. I bought new underwear, they're blue and I wore'em just the other day"
and so on and so on.....
So I really don't think the Romania lyrics were any worse than a lot other countries....
Marko you have to learn the difference between your taste and the taste of millions of viewers.. It's not because you don't like something, that others can not like it and defenitely not judge others for their taste....
Hahaha, I'm still laughing sorry!
Those comments type: two girls behind us loved it are silly as hell!
Sorry!
So what?
I should respect it if they liked it! GOSH!
And Lena from Germany is different class comparing to Romanian singers and their songs! Plus Ovi participated in Norsk MGP 2009 nd that's why some of them voted for it!
About Scandinavian jury they voted a lot for Romanian song coz every year they have to vote for some Eastern European countries (usually who have songs in English) to make fake balance in voting, it's so obvious, funny and stupid at the same time! ESC voting is one big joke and everybody know that, but it's question who wanna admit that and who don't!
I hated "playing with fire" nonetheless a lot of people seemed to like it so it achieved a 6th position. this has to be accepted. but why a 3rd position if it wasn't favoured that much? no, defenitely not.
