Sandra Kim shot new J'aime la vie video

Sandra Kim, winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 1986, has recently shot a new version of the J'aime la vie video clip. The new video is an exact copy of the original recording in order to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the first and only Belgian victory in the competition.

Sandra Kim won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1986 with J'aime la vie at the age of 13 being the youngest winner ever. The new video clip was released under the motto You're retired sooner than you think.

For me Yugoslavia and Belgium was the worst winners in 80's , i still dont understand how the expert jurys vote for that songs :S

even back then it was not really contemporary and did not set the charts on fire in Europe... but then again, none of the mideighties esc-songs were. From 1983 to 1997 the contest lost it connection to the music markets.. maybe with a few exceptions like 1987 as the only notable commercial success.

The attention to detail in that is amazing! It was lucky the locations all still existed. I have fond memories of Sandra Kim and the 1986 contest - the first one where I predicted the winner correctly. And in the UK, Belgium were not the bookies' favourites (not even top 5).

Oh the 80's- now that is what I call proper eurovision songs- not like the tripe that wins now

Delta Lloyd it would seem paid Sandra Kim to do it.....without them she would never have done it !

Very nice video ....but it wasn't so much a video released to celebrate Sandra Kim's 25 years since her victory ...but more the shooting of a Belgian TV commericial for pensions...showing Sandra as a teenager and how she has aged over the years.
The caption at the end says it all "You will be pensioned before you know it". So she did it for financial gain rather than to celebrate an anniversary ...let's get it right!!!

Really brilliant idea! The only difference is the ice-cream in the original clip, and the cup of coffee in the new version!

Wow, that's really good. Where did they all got the 80's clothes from? And all the people in that video seem to be the same. Great! The 80's are unbeatable!

The best winning song EVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER! Belgium has something to be reallly proud of. This video makes me very happy and amused. It's great to see how the people and surroundings have developped for the past 25 years. I guess it's 25 because the song was written back then/won the NF. :-) And Sandra Kim has become sooooo GORGEOUS!

It was not my favourite winner back then, i liked Swiss and Luxembourg much better. But J'aime la vie was a good winner back then, and did quite well. She appeared in Israel several times after her win. The song maybe did not survive the time but back then it was quite a good one.
I also remember the Chernovil cloud that threatened the contest back then

this is hilarious - it really is Vanessa Faltz as I haven't seen her around for a while - I think she ate Sandra Kim

I never liked this song..although it would be good for JESC if there was a JESC back then.
My favourite of 1986 was Pas pour moi.

Never liked this winning song, hate exploitation of kids.... But now she still looks nice... I remember that festival very well... my favorite was Austria "Die zeit is einzam"... the lyrics and melody still give me goozebums... Came almost last but I don't care.... My second favorite was Yugoslavia.. love zeljo moja....

in 1986 Sandra was the one and only favorite for a landslide victory, nobody was surprised at her win, 80s are 80s, none of the winners did anything else better, however the losers were and are still superstars, Ofra Haza, Anna Visi etc etc

Alyson Wunderland [61651]

Actually, Alyson, Sandra Kim has done only one thing in life.
At least Johnny Logan was lucky enough to win twice.

Oh was my post too positive for you, so you needed to balance it out a bit? :P

Nice video and nice concept :D but bad song. My favorite in 1986 was Iceland's entry.
