[UPD] Austria will return to Eurovision in 2011
Update: The news have been confirmed by ORF. Austria will therefore compete in the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 in Germany.
According to the TV-MEDIA press release, the national final format is still being discussed. A talent search format is being considered and there are also plans to include the winner of another talent search, Helden von morgen, in the national final. The final of that show will take place in October.
Austria has not been taking part in the Eurovision Song Contest since 2007, when Eric Papilaya finished 27th (second last) in the semi final. Austria won the contest once back in 1966 with Udo Jürgens and Merci Chérie.

If one Armenian add on his profile Nagorno Karabah flag or any other anti turk picture how your going to react? I m sure your going to feel and react as i do in june ( maybe worst ) Imagine if everybody here Turks, Greeks, Cypriots, Armenians, Azeri etc follow @turquality exable what is going to happen. If you was a correct person even and if you agry with @turquality pic you have to say in turkish language " pls turqyality remove tha pic beacuse that eurovision site and that pic make problems " and not to say to him " go on and i agree with your pic " and to follow @turquality's racists and Nationality comments about Cyprus. I hope you understand now my problem with you , political your free to beleave whatever you want i dont care about that, btw your father can have his proberty any time he want , Cyprus lows says that turkish cypriots can have theyr proberties ( of course if they dont live in greek cypriots houses in north part of the island ), but greek cypriots ( refugees) cant use theyr proberty in north part of the island beacuse turkish army dont allow them ( thats why i have problem with Turkey ), also Turkish cypriots loose theyr probertys in south part but they found ready houses and probertys in north part but greek cypriots start from begining beacuse they have nothing is south part This is the human rights from a countrey ( Turkey ) who want to be a full European Union member, if you thing that all this are correct then you and me we belong to other planets

What can I say? Honestly I have no words to describe your tactics! For how long are you going to blame Turkey? Who said my mum is from Larnaca? yes my dad is from Limassol/Polemidia but my mum is from Omorphita (Kucuk Kaymakli) which is in the north but which was a town which was always a mixture of turkish and greek. My dad has land in polemidia so I can either go to his house and say this my house/land (like some greek-cypriots do) or I can sue the "RoC" for building a motorway across my land without my permission and thereby seek compensation both from the European courts and the "RoC"! or I can sell it to some wealthy international businessman. The world is my oyster

Stop arguing about Cyprus. I know that it may be important for you to defend yourselves, your people, you country etc when a person throws some critism. But, this site is about eurovision!! I know it's hard but lets talk about and celebrate the different types of music and lets not allow us to tarnish ourselves over political rubbish
Whenever I come here, I either see an argument about Cyprus or Nagorno Karabakh.

I want be suprice for that beacuse 98% of turkish cypriots in north part of the island lives in greek cypriots houses. And the ironic thing is that 98% of turkish cypriots ( also turkish cypriot politicians included Eroglou daughters ) have identity and passport of the Repuplic of Cyprus but they want separate nation...LOL. Last week a turkish cypriot member of parliament was in France and he lost his passport and final France police found that this guy passport was passport of the repuplic of Cyprus And when she lost his Cyprus passport ask for help in Turkish Embassy ...LOL , i m sure that this guy has no changes to be a member of parliament again beacuse Turkey will destroy him

I'm turkish-cypriot and I visit the north from time to time, so don't you think it would be quite hypocrtical of me to say to the guy "hold-up! get rid of your picture" ?? that would be similar to a "do as I say, but don't do as I do" case scenario. Beside me not telling the guy to get rid of his picture does not necessarily indicate that I support the divide. That picture has different meanings to me than it does to you thats all.

It is still amazing to me that you still use that monotone propaganda of yours. I am the last person on earth to suffer with an identity crisis I am proud of what and who I am! You say I speak ill of Southern Cyprus and Greek-Cypriots? That is a complete an utter lie! If I remember correctly you were the one who brought up the cyprus-isssue in June and somehow linked it to the current politics of Turkey. If your parents spoke so highly of Turks to you when you were knee-high for example! then you would not seek the most smallest opportunity presented on a Eurovision site by a few characters to attack Turks in general (like you did in June). I don't hate greek-cypriots but when greek-cypriots like yourself begin to attack turks in general and constantly shift the blame onto them with their anti-turkism tactics, that is when I tend to intervene Unlike you I know full well how to differentiate between ordinary people and bent/corrupt/money-grabbing politicans! and my parents have shaped my personality in a way which enables me to stand my ground but at the same time to have respect towards others (who deserve respect ofcourse).
