I don't really know what to think about Eurovoice but i will definitely watch it...
Now some news...Apart from Enrique and Anastacia singing ,Pamela Anderson will be the hostess of the whole event..I don't know how they came up with her but it was announced hours ago...
she is beautiful.
All we need to know is, that as always recently ,no matter what the contest. The UK entry is absolutely rotten.Who does she think she is here???? A cheap Tina or Anastacia?
Another sweaty mess.
The most untallented person not only in ESC history but in entire Greek discography.
Is she earning money from this??? And if yes, WHO IDIOT PAYS???
Skata sto lako sou vromiara, atalanth. OUST.
@Axel, i dont like her and NOBODY in Cyprus likes her beacuse of her bad character. That girl have rich daddy and she spend her life to long time holidays in London ( thats why she is british )...LOL, she ignore her homeland ( Cyprus ) , She call her self as British citizen or Greek citizen ( independ of her mood ) , she thing that she is Diva and famous...LOL , her mother is grafic desighner and i know her ( they have similar character ). Her mother name is pure Greek ( Marsia ), how a woman with pure Greek name are british? Also her father are pure Cypriot. That girl are lazy and talentless. Thats why she is 35 y o and she is never make even and 1 personal cd single. She never work exept for one year in Athens who was member of a girls group and she forced to doit, but beacuse of her character and beacuse she is lazy the group split out.

So it looks like Eurovision will be getting a competitor?
I'll be interested to see whether it can establish itself and how long it will last for.
Does anybody which UK broadcast might show it?
ITV? C4? Sky One?
Who cares where she's from. She's international, she's a citizen of the world! And all of you people, thinking where your blood comes from etc, you are trully pathetic. In which third world country are you living in? You are all so middle class...
well considering its a contest among countries, i think where the singer comes from does have some relevance...
EuroVoice hey? Interesting. So why have both? I think nothing can beat the original contest to be honest!
Best of Luck to her
I'm not surprised many haven't heard of this competition as it is just the first edition. But it gets quite some coverage in a few countries especially since a few guest stars will perform, such as: Enrique Iglesias, Anastacia and Sakis.
There are a few more connections to the ESC. EuroVoice will be hosted in the same venue (OAKA Olympic arena) as the ESC was in 2006. Besides Marlain there are also other artists who have some relation to ESC such as Andrijana Janevska (FYROM NF 2007) - she actually replaced "Next Time" (ESC 09) who were initially chosen. Vlatka Burić applied with the same song for the Croatian NF10. The same goes for Tafkanik who will represent Austria with a song that was submitted for Polish NF10.
Interestingly Juliana Pasha (ESC 10) came second in the EuroVoice preselection for Albania.
I hope this will be a nice show, the more the better.
Agreed Arian.... I couldn't say it any better.... I never reveiled my nationality as it's not important.... I am a human being and live in Europe, London.... and that's all that counts...

i would be supprised if she was a British Citizen...after all her only British blood comes from one of her grandparents - and from the sounds of it, her mum wasn't from the UK...making it very difficult for her to gain British Citizenship.
She only lived in the UK as a student - which doesn't entitle you to British Citizenship...so I don't know how she feels "British"
I listened to those 34 EuroVoice songs while cleaning the house this morning and found out that there are actually some really good songs, the ones from Serbia and Turkey in particular. I liked Greece, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland and Switzerland too, and Macedonia (Andrijana Janevska 'Drvo bez koren' ... I knew this song before, most probably it was performed in one of the Macedonian ESC preselections of the last years.)
nobody knows about that copy of Eurovision. i wonder why they're doing it, it will fail.
EuroVoice??? The f--- is that??? It's probably a cheap rip-off of Eurovision.
Why all the suprise about Marlain representing the UK in this new contest? Marlain is British after all and lived most of her life in North London. Born to a Cypriot - Greek family yes, but Marlain was brought up in London so as such is a British National.
@Rob, please mate... cut it out
Evertime there is a new name over here, you come up with that stupid story.... Now Marlain, first Jessica pfff gets a bit boring....
I never understood the pre-contest hype of this woman... Tha 'ne erotas was a really bad composition of a slow and a cheap uptempo song..... I was not surprised that she received only 2 points..... and off course their big friend Greece wasn't in that year... otherwise she would have ended together with FRance on the 19th place with 14 points.... But Lina now you are so negative about her while I remeber really well the Cypriots went besurk after the contest... she was robbed, blablabla....
Its not a rumour that mika is writing the song- it is fact- Jessica Garlick was going to sing it but has had to withdraw due to "personal reasons"- Marlain is now in line to sing the song dependent on how she gets on in September
@ flower of the south, its only a rumour that mika will write the u.k song, and if you are listening to a certain person on here who claims his "wife" works for the BBC then please take it with a pinch of salt, that person also claimed that josh had the winning song this year and that he had heard it before anyone else, and we all know how that ended
@ azad, maybe the fact that this will be the first is the reason you have not heard of it
Well..this is the first time i've heard of this 'EuroVoice'.....it just seems like a cheap copy of esc
Also, mind that her mother is half Scottish. If then happens to have British citizenship then Marlain has the right to claim British citizenship also
!
Lina you are completely wrong...
1. She was borned in Athens by a Greek father (Elladitis but borned in Cyprus). Her mother is half Greeek-Cypriot and Scottish..........
So here automatically she has both Greek (by birth) and Cypriot (by heritage) citizenship.
2. She have never been to Argentina. Instead she used to live in Venezuela.
3. She has every rigt to snob Cyprus if she was almost forced to live there. Having spend almost her life in Athens, and educated in London, is rather impossible to cope with Cyprus.
4. Depsite all these, yes, I agree with you. She is arrogant, talentless and extremely wierd................
@kenan she is pure Cypriot, if somebody just born to a countrey and after 2 - 3 months leaves from there that dont mean that she/his countrey is the countrey who get born. That girl snob Cyprus and want to call her self british ( beacuse she leaves some years in UK ...LOL ) or Greek. Also beacuse she lives some years in Argentina i m sure that if she visit Argentina again she will call her self as an Argentinian
She tried so desparate to be famous and she is 34 y o, is not easy any more
And i thing nobody from UK accept to go to that contest thats why they send Marlen, they find the perfect "fish" , now Marlen feels 100% british
...LOL Her carier is up and everybody know her in UK music indistry and streets
( thats what she thinging)
it looks like the this contest is more focused on finding the "best" voice in Europe, whereas ESC is looking for the best song.
EuroVoice obviously isn't a song contest, as Marlain is entering an old song, whereas ESC is not a talent search, nor should it ever become one.
