Drifters recorded Dutch entry

Swedish cover version of Ik ben verliefd released

Swedish band Driters have recorded a Swedish cover version of Ik ben verliefd, sha la lie, the Dutch entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010. The song will also be included on their upcoming new studio album.

The title of the Swedish version is simpy Sha la lie. The original band Drifters was founded in 1962 and despite many changes in the line-up, they have released 14 albums so far. Their new studio album Stanna hos mig will be released on 25th August. With the song Ik ben verliefd, sha la lie, Dutch representative Sieneke finished 14th in the second semi final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 thus not making it to the final.

Thank God it is in Swedish! I was wondering why it took her so long to come up with it.
When in Latvian, Turkish and Maltese?
Love to be sarcastic because it is such a horrible song. Who cares if it's in Swedish anyway...

I am.... Spechless. Do I have to say more? Oh, Yes!

In my opinion, this is a... (Sob!) - :( :( :( When I thought that the Netherlands had been sinking to THE LOWEST level ever, one of the many AWFUL Swedish dansbands had to drag this record further down. This is even more bad than Sieneke's version! :O Even more bad than "the Devils lullaby" from Russia and "the Kid" from the UK this year. And when it's THAT bad, then I'll rather ask for apocalypse... NOW! :S

Sieneke was wonderful and the song was so cute, but this version is HORRENDOUS!

Bye, bye cuteness - hello ultra danseband cheesiness!

That Swedish cover version is much better than the original version, but still too bad and childish! (S)
