New Lena single enters charts in Germany and Austria
Touch a new day entered the German single charts at number 13 being the highest new entrant in the top 100 this week. In Austria, the single entered the charts at number 52 last week but managed to raise to number 26 this week.
Lena won the the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 for Germany with the song Satellite, which became a number one hit in seven countries.

No. 13 is not bad, I mean the song was on an album that has been in the top ten for more than three months now.

Thanks - I can't open that page... China's blocking a lot of pages, that's why I asked in here...
But obviously it's Tone Damli Aaberge - great... I'm glad to hear that she's enjoying international success... During Melodi Grand Prix, I often thought, if they choose Tone or Rybak doesn't make a difference, both of them are able to win Eurovision...

The telenovela "Lena - Liebe meines Lebens" has not been created because of ESC Lena, by the way, it has been bought by broadcaster ZDF before Lena appeared on telly, just in case you should stumble upon some yellow press nonsense...

I am sure sure a lot of fans bought it, even though they already owned the album. maybe the label as itself either. in all independent online stores she achieved positions lower than thirty. still left to mention the huge commercial promotion by pro7. 
she is the living proof that you can do a new hit single right after another..
The hype is fading away....

she sold so many albums so far, and all the people who got the Album won´t buy a single from the Album, so #13 is a good chart-entry.

The album has sold more than 500,000 copies and it keeps selling since it hasn't left the top 10 yet. So it's normal that most people are interested to buy the album, than the single and that's good for the label because it means more money! Singles are released only to keep the hype and the interest for the interest and the album. Of course, they don't expect a monster hit ala Satellite but so far it is doing very good on radio which is important. I predict the album will keep selling until next year's summer when Eurovision 2011 in Germany will be over so i can safely say it can sell another 200k and approach 900k shipped copies. Have in mind she will tour Germany one month before Eurovision 2011, so Lena will have huge media exposure and promo in the country.
Next week, i will buy her album! SUPPORT THE WINNER!
I don't think Lena's star has faded or will fade in the near future..A success like the one Satellite had is not repeated everyday..it's only natural..! Good luck and well done to sweet Lena !

btw.: As you know I'm not in Germany at the moment - but I've read in the internet that a "sexy pop-export from Norway" has managed to install a song called "Butterflies" as a title song of a German telenovela and couldn't find out more about it... Of course, I wondered if that could be Tone Damli Aaberge... Do you know something about that by any chance?
It´s not that high, but much more higher than expected.
It cools everthing down in natural and nice way, ... the victory, the hype, the discussions ... and it really had to be.
She could start through, when ever she wants, with new music or something unexpected, still ... I love >Touch a new day< ... still something different. Well done, Lena ... lovely video! ;-)

These chart positions aren't really up to her usual standard...
Do love the song though. I bet its not that high because so many people have already bought the album so thre is n need to by the single...
