Roger Cicero new co-host of music show

Roger Cicro, German representative in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007, will be the new co-host of the successful German music programme Die Hit-Giganten on private channel Sat. 1. After a longer break, the show will return with new episodes on 22nd October.

The show features rankings of songs in various music styles and since 2003, 34 episodes have been produced. The episodes of the new season will be produced in September. Roger Cicero's co-host will be Mirjam Weichselbraun, who also co-hosted the Austrian national final for the Eurovision Song Contest 2005.

Roger Cicero represented Germany in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 with the entry Frauen regier'n die Welt. Despite being his biggest hit on the German single charts, it was no success in Helsinki placing 21st in the final.

@ MarKo
You know, a person who was just a few days ago babbling about "Anet Atani" shouldn't be too picky when it comes to typos...

Actually, I like "Molitva" very much... it is right now on #3 in my Eurovision playlist with 58 times being played...
I didn't say with a single word that I had something against the winner... Perhaps things aren't always black and white...

@ CC in particular
I have nothing at all against Eastern European countries...
If you take a short look at my favourites, you should be able to tell that as well...
Furthermore, I HATE being put like that in a certain corner...
Unlike you - obviously -, I don't care where a song comes from...
And unlike you, I'm not hiding behind such a pseudo-ironic style with which I try to offend other people... I haven't followed all of your comments, but from the ones I read I really dislike you, in the bounded limits you can dislike a bodyless name in the internet, of course... you are always provoking people in a really annoying manner and when they react, then you write stuff like "you're off-topic" or whatever...
Besides, I'm still waiting for the first reaction of you where you don't mention the words "televoting", "jury" or "50-50"...

@ Marco in particular
I don't doubt "Molitva" as a deserved winner and I deal with it for once, I don't expect every year songs I like to win, people obviously simply didn't like my "beloved Cicero's song" and I only was referring to your comment which went like "I'm 101 % sure this new ridiculous system won't change position of this entry" by stating that according to the back-up juries he would have been Top5, so it WOULD have changed something...
Gee...

Thanx CC Catch, it is always very nice when your words are twisted to something you didn't say, but I was sure you would be able to do that. And I am not disappointed.

Max
Exactly, and I hated those decisions you mentioned, not songs, but the way od choosing! I didn't tell democratic country LOL, but democratic n ESC (that way of choosing representative)...and "Molitva" is deserved winner, deal with it for once, you can't expect every year songs you like to win, it was a system that year and ppl simply didn't like your beloved Cicero's song!

yes, in 2007 and 2008 all negative aspects of televoting were defenitely at it's peak. o my gosh, an eastern european country has won! :S and maybe even worse, molitva was ethnical, sung in national languae, was composed and performed by a serbian. means it was a real eurovision winner! HORROR!!!! bring back american-idol-jury!

I think that Roger Cicero is a very talented singer and that his song for ESC was excellent (and his rendition too). He should have got a much better place!

As for Lena, I'm very sorry, but I think the song is pure crap and she can't sing at all and she is so annoying, Gosh! When I was in Cologne, I heard someone else sing the song (jennifer braun) and quite frankly, even though i'm not very keen on the song itsellf, the rendition was much much much better.

I think in 2007 we had the worst contest and one of the unfairest results ever...
I can't remember a more frustrating and terrible edition of the Contest - I was close to lose my interest in ESC completely - a lot of my friends did... actually, Lena and Stefan Raab brought back a new spirit...

And I'm 101 % sure this "new ridiculous system" would have changed Cicero's position completely... According to the back up juries' results in 2007, he would have been in the Top5...

@ Marco
This whole collaboration-thing between ARD and Pro7 paid off far too well to make an internal selection now... I'm pretty sure there will be some kind of NF in German...
And it's definitely not unusual that the singer is chosen internally and the song in public - Ireland did that with Brian Kennedy and Dervish, Israel with Bo'az Mauda and Harel Ska'at, Greece with Sakis Rouvas, the Netherlands with Edsilia Rombley, just to name a few - what does it have to be with how democratic a country is...?

I wonder when they will choose song for Lena and will it be internal selection of the song or at least few songs to choose from, I really thought earlier that Germany is so democratic in ESC organizing NF even when almost nobody was interested to take part in it and when ppl in Germany weren't interested to follow those NFs! But now don't know what to think, if they will choose internal only one song I will be completely disappointed!

Cicero's song is pure class and I never get tired of writing this. Thanks for having given it to us. Good luck.

The song was okay in 2007 I think still that Lena had the best song for Germany. I hope we will have a nice song from her again

One of the best German entries ever and he gets a ridiculously low place!

I think in 2007 we had one of the best contests and fairest results ever. quality and authenticity prevailed.
cicero didn't have a bad entry and would've done better in other years, nonetheless the best german entries still come from the 50's and 60's. ;)

Such a shame about the ridiculous voting.
I'm 101 % sure this new ridiculous system won't change position of this entry. But who knows, new jury likes Germany 2 years in a row, maybe they always like certain countries... :S

He had the best German ESC song ever imo ... Such a shame about the ridiculous voting. 2007 was the worst year imo, even if the Serbian victory was well deserved.

Emmy's vocal is not so bad! I have seen her live consert and she made public mad /in positive sence of the word/. Her NF performance wasn't her best one!!! Ofcorse I didn't respect her black p.r. actions but I'm really sorry for her!! She has stoped all her career and left for USA!!! I hope atleast she will understand that ESC participation is not so important to loose head!! Poor girl!

Avat
I checked them when you showed earlier! ;)
But I like RnB more, "Chem Karogh" is pure RnB! Arm Tv should organize NF festival and not to choose internal! I don't like Arame and Sirusho, Emmy has good songs, but horrible vocal abilities! :(

You mean the girl looking like Joly?? in white dress??? Yes that is she!! Nice girl but.... My fingers are crossed for Tamar Kaprelian have a look at her "New Day" and "Purrified" !!!!
But I doupt that one of them will be choosen by ArmTv !!! Well knowing them ArmTv will choose someone among Sirusho-Emmy-Arame :( That will be sad! But I'm bit sorry for EMMY!
