Listen to your heartbeat
Swedish entry 2001 now officially plagiarism
The Swedish entry Listen to your hearbeat, performed in 2001 by the group Friends, is now officially plagiarism of the Belgian song Liefde is een kaartspel, performed at the 1996 Eurovision Song Contest by Lisa del Bo.
In 2001, the Belgian author\'s organisation SABAM was already convinced of the similarity of the songs. The Swedish composers and lyricists Henrik Sethsson, Thomas G:son and record company Mariann Songs were not convinced, but when the lyricist and composer of Liefde is een kaartspel suggested a trial case, the Swedes came with a financial offer.
