France: Anggun invited in 5 national finals

Anggun, this year's French representative will begin her promo tour soon. Among the already booked dates, the singer will appear in no less than five national finals to take place across Europe.

We already knew that Anggun would perform her song, Echos (You and I) in the Bulgarian national final.
The lady’s website just told us that she will sing in other four national selections: in Malta, Hungary, Ukraine and Lithuania.

Apart from the selection shows, Anggun is scheduled to visit more than 15 European countries in her promo tour in the lead up to the Eurovision Song Contest.

Yesterday, a snippet of the French entry 2012 was made available to hear on the net. Click here to listen.

Anggun will sing in the Eurovision final, while France has been granted voting rights in the second semifinal of the Eurovision Song Contest.

I hope that the full version will fix any wrong impression the snippet has given...Anggun is determined to do well in Baku and that shows. All she needs is a good song and she can at least get the jurie vote if she is good enough.

This is my opinion [59854]

Her songs sounds promissing. Thankfully, the days of boring ballads in French, seem to be gone!

She is not an amateur so relax you smarty pants

@ Euro Lover gaining a low (underrated) place with a r&b song. well, it is just a subjective feeling I have and unless the song will be a negative surprise I hope I am wrong.

This is so unfair ! She gets to represent france at Eurovision, and on top of that, she's been invited to sing in five national finals ? Nobody invited me to perform (or even to just sit in the audience) in ANY national final. Even IBA had not invited me :(

@ CC Hmm what do you mean by "doing an Ortal"? Anyways, I liked Ortal, very underrated entry. However she wasn't that good live, but I don't think we have to worry about that when it comes to Anggun.

good move and this might prevent france from doing an ortal what I fear it will do. just a feeling mainly based on the short snippet though.

It's no surprise for me.Anggun said it from day 1 that she really wants to win esc and she means it.I just hope, the song will be strong enough.By the way,the fact that she is invited in many finals shows that people think of her as a serious contender but it doesn't mean that a promo tour can actually help her win.

Who cares, France always sends atypical entries and gives weird votes... I'm waiting to listen their entry this year...

We don't know the song still, so i cannot judge anything. The snippet sounds positive and fresh, but if it is only demo version, it tells nothing. Can't wait sunday anyway.

Promo tours only help a mediocre song. If a song is fantastic, it will win votes at the Contest, promo tour or not. Good Luck France, 35 years since winning is too long!

It's encouraging to see that the French representative and her song will be promoted in Europe prior to Eurovision. I haven't heard the song yet, I'm waiting until Sunday to get the full-length version before passing judgement. Bonne chance à la France!

WOW Hungary? It is interesting to see that the French candidate will sing in our NF selection. With this huge promo tour I think that France this year take it much more serious, maybe Paris 2013? We will see :)

I think that France will broadcast the second semifinal, not the first one.

Whereas other countries don't want to win?

If that snippet is anything to go by, France is gonna do well. I really like it.
